Weight vests

What are those who are big into fitness's views on them?

The only physical training I do is calisthenics(push/sit/pull-ups, and dips) and cardio (swimming and running). I am trying to get back on my circuit training kick.

I figure I can "trick" my body into believing I was 60 lbs. heavier while doing all these things (except swimming, I've got a ways to go before I mess with weights in the pool again) and it would help me get back to and pass where I was before I had to stop.

Notes? Cautions?

Thanks in advance

Start with 10% of your body weight and move up from there to avoid injury.

i do 3x10 dips with 50 lb DB, and 4x5 Pull-ups with 50 lb DB, i am a big fan of adding extra weight in calisthenics

just make sure you keep good form and you should be good

i weigh 150 lbs by the way

Sry, I didn't really read the OP very well. The 10% recommendation is for running. Go as heavy as you'd like with weighted dips/pull/push-ups.
