low fps

i have a friend with a marq 6. picked it up used and has been having problems. The problem is low fps;the paint wont even come out of the barrel. the gun settings are 200hpr, 80 lpr, 8 ms of dwell. the engine is lubed with 55. the bolt with triflow. rear transfer slot is cleared and the holes line up. no leaks at all.

i put my PE engine in his marq 6 and it shot fine. so its something in that engine. so what u guys think, maybe poppet and poppet spring?

MY GUN WON'T SHOOT ABOVE 200\220\240\260!!
Couple of things to check here. Is your vertical regulator lubricated and its seals in good condition? What are your pressures at? (They should be 230 on the vertical\inline\HP, and 80psi for the LPR) If none of that fixes it, remove your engine. Drag an oring pick through the groove in the rear of the interior of your Marq. Did it have debris\oring chunks in it? If so, replace the outer engine orings. Still doesn't fix it? Consider replacing your poppet, especially if it's an older marker...they get worn. Also, verify that the holes on your engine are correctly aligned..they should look like THIS.
I vote new poppet.

the smallest overlooked details are the ones that kill you! slow down and take your time, go through the whole gun and make sure that everything that was addressed isnt the problem. or just listen to Spyder and check your poppet..kinda stupid myself sometimes.

i put my PE engine from my closer into the marq 6. without any adjustments to the settings, that i already stated above. it shot 290fps. so its something inside that engine

Just out of curiosity, did you try his stock engine in your Closer?

Ah Ok.

Well I would set the HPR to 230 psi since that is the stock setting and see if that changes anything. I would also change the outer o-rings on the engine.
