And to answer the question, no. 250 cal is definitely not real. The ASTM would never allow such a large projectile anywhere. Think of the kinetic energy output when that hits something! A three-pound ball moving 300fps could splinter plywood, shatter windows, and break bones without a problem. Heck, a 1lb baseball moving 300fps could probably go through sheet metal! So, no, there is no such thing as 250 cal.
