Yes, the GA 13cu. tanks have a 1.974 in. diameter which puts them in the exempt category.

Yeah, the GEO needs a high pressure output and the Myth HP kit is available.

Unfortunately this happens occasionally for no good reason. Lubing the reg and asa threads to reduce galling of the threads is advisable and sometimes the asa threads are just enough off spec to seize the threads. In any case it may take a lot of muscle to torque it off or it could just be a matter of "popping " the threads loose. pmd you.

I just picked up a tank with the old style Myth reg. I'm really looking forward to the low pressure conversion kit. How long do you estimate it will be until they're released?

You would be advised to get the hp kit for the G2 to ensure enough operating pressure. All BT's and tippman based markers are hp recommended.

I got a new GA tank in several weeks ago and the fill nipple failed. I took it off and found that the o-ring got pinched by the piston. I replaced the o-ring and it did it again after two tank fills. Any suggestions? Also, is there any specific fill nipple install directions? Teflon tape ok or do you recommend Locktite?

The flange on the G2 may loosen slightly after spinning in and out of the asa after awhile. Make sure the flange is securely tightened as this is what secures the brass thread collar. Always make sure the flange on all Myths is tightened occasionally as routine maintenance as this is the designed disassembly port for the internals.

When installing the nipple it is important that you do not overtighten the nipple into the port. The GA nipple is designed to allow for strut movement and if the nipple is tightened too deeply into the port the stut will bottom out and can't open properly to allow air flow, especially with flash fill operations. This will cause the o-ring to "roll" since it is the point of least resistence. Make sure the nipple is only tightened deep enough to seal and you're good to go.

As I told Crooky, sometimes the asa threads are slightly off spec. from mfg. to mfg. Thread Pitch not thread size is the culprit and some asa's are more problematic than others and problematic for all the regulator mfgs. Use of a non-petroleum lubricant on the reg and asa threads is recommended as a preventative measure to ease and prevent galling and seizing of the threads. Also removing pressurized tanks puts additional stress on un lubed threads.

Damn, Well that sucks. Could it be the tank reg that was off spec?

My myth reg threads really messed up from a "crappy" asa. Do you think I could buy some rebuild kit somewhere rather than just shelling out another 40 dollars+shipping? Here are some pics:
