matta?

yes it matta

Anti-rollback (solves eye problems) you better call DW and thin air sports to tell them that their bolt guide doesn't matta
Anti-ballstack clipping feature built into the bolt tips "machined 45 angle" works like a pillow
bolt can be cup'd machined I do it to all my quests
as for carving or moving the oring it doesn't matta, just add more quick steel for older bolts

if you are saying that a bolt with a partial blocked venturi W/ cushion is better than this?

dont get me wrong I love venturis but not blocked ones

this can be done with 5 bucks compared to 55 plus shipping

IMO it does matta

hehe you misread what I mean. I now what all the mods being done to the bolt pin are there for and all that schpewy, but thanks for the fancy pics . Just thought that the pin was just that, the pin. Then the piece that slides on the outside is the actual "bolt". When you buy a bolt from critical you get just that , the bolt. If you want a snatch "pin" then that is something different, a pin(or bolt guide).
The 4b has both and that's why it's called a bolt "kit", because it contains both the bolt and the pin.
The anti roll back and plasteel firing chamber stuff is all being done to the pin/

When I say It doesnt matter Im not saying the mods don't matter I agree that they are effective and I like. Just making a trivial observation about terminoligy was all--- and really it doesnt matter what you call the thing.

period nuff said- boom headshot

and the milling of the noid vents didn't end up increasing the rate of fire at all unfortunately. Maybe with more agressive milling...

So drilling of the HPR and LPR holes is a definite improvement, right? Just getting back to my Quest and seeing what's been done in the last 3 years and considering giving this a try. Basically I can just line it up with the same exact places juit drilled, right?

I am scared, though, to risk my beloved Quest with such a permanent change!

The hole simply need be in the section with the spring. Between the adjustment screw and piston.

Same thing for both lpr and hpr

The piston seals off the pressurized air from that portion of the regs.

I'm not so much worried about the act of doing it as being confident in what it's going to do.

Did Cole ever chime in on this btw?

You can always drill the adjustment set screw and if you decide you don't like it you can get a new one at a hardware store, that's what I did with my timmy LPR's (kind of wish I'd done it to my quest's LPR too, in stead of drilling in from the side).

Sorry to bump an old thread, but do you have a diagram explaining this? Thanks.

If you look head on at the lpr cap. There is an adjustment allen head screw. He's saying you can drill into that screw right in the center. If you have a washer under the screw just drill through the screw. If you have a disc and it doesn't already have a hole in the middle you'll want to make a hole or get a washer that fits properly.

Should probably do this off the marker to avoid metal shaving getting somewhere you don't want
