I'm debating anodizing parts on my csl would it lower. The resale value in the future because it won't be original or should I just do it to make it a custom csl.




This is how they look now and I want to take the brown off the white one and make it dust lime green and white.

It would not lower the value it's just on the seller if he/she wants to make a fast sale. If the color is hot it can even go for more.... Like $1550

Guess I'm in the minority here. I like the lame two tone markers. Not a fan of fades and HATE splashes. To me the lines of the marker get completely lost under the splash.

But whatever you do make sure you use a solid anodizing company. I had my Prestige CSL ano'd. Has the brown parts ano'd Black (pic in sig). I used lasermygun. They do great work with fast turn around

If you want to keep a class theme....

Take the white parts and splash gold. Then you'll have gold silver and bronze.

I'm not a big fan of the single color except on old cockers.
Also the gun would be sent over to Mario at fx annodizing hopefully within the next month if they get moved on time.

IMO there is nothing wrong with annoing the gun. It's your gun. Depending on how rare the color I'd consider not doing it, but it's all up to what you like.

Doing a splash on a CSL is like having a 2yr old take a paint brush and splash it....anybody can do a splash...2 tone colors are the way to go...if I ha another CSL I'd anno it a nice color.

I did some custom ano with laser tattoo. It's pricy but looks sick out in the field

A sweet purple/black acid wash would just be awesome, especially if it was a fading acid wash (you know, more purple than black fading to black than purple at the back). FWIW I think acid washes look much better than splashes.

Don't worry about resale - because I'd buy it if you sold it.

When you say splash do u mean like this. This is the only splash I would do I don't like the newer stuff where it looks like the part spun while someone held a dripping paint brush on it.

Also I want to get away from black I have enough black guns plus looks to close to a panther csl

The splash pictured above is cool (still in purple/black or purple/silver).


The splash that looks like someone spilled stuff on it is terrible looking (just reminds me of a bunch of paint runs). I've seen a few guns it looked ok on, but no gun that looked great. And most look terrible. In my opinion.

these look just amazing if I could just figure out how it would look red yellow and green
