Egos are basically the tank/workhorses of the paintball world, nexus ego would be custom milling for that team think it's a 2006 ... not sure how readily available the parts are for it but you can't go wrong with one .. especially not for free

I have a mini and i enjoy it alot but in the end i kinda wish i had gone the G4. There are a few things i dont like about the mini.
Cons
Asa blows
Feed neck sucks
trigger has some side to side play
modes are a pain to change

Pros
Light
Good looking (my opinion)
Strong
Air efficient
fells good in small hands. (Also my opinion)

Which is the best marker for me? Looking to spend $300 on a marker, I don't want it to be high maintenance. I like to play close to the "action" but also have the opportunity to hit people from a long range. Id prefer Semi-auto, any other modes i feel is cheating on a walk-on. Also a marker that doesn't need a bunch of upgrades to be decent, a marker that the stock is good in other words. Our local field has a few speedball fields in the woods, and some bigger fields located in the woods. I've been looking at the GoG Extcy and Dangerous Power G4, i'm also open to what you guys think i should get, Please no Biased comments

If you want to buy new, the Extcy and G4 are both good choices, I would also look at the Mini.

If you are open to buying used, a 2006/2007 DM, Ego, or Marq would all be a good choice as well. I would recommend going to a friend and seeing if people are willing to let you try out these markers before you buy them.

Which one should I buy? A new 09 Ego or an Axe? I do not play tournament ball but am looking to get into more scenario/event type games. I think they are about the same amount so that's why I am comparing them. I have never owned an electric marker.

NXT or nothing.

Breakbeam eyes are a huge advantage. The SFT had issues with not seeing certain color paints, same problem that the impulse and eblade autocockers ran in to.

I'm pretty sure the NXT comes stock with the High Efficiency bolt as well, where the SFT will get maybe a pod or two less per fill.

Personally, I'd want one of the limited edition NXTs that came autococker threaded rather than shocker/ion threaded. Its a pain having to own multiple barrel kits.
