Paintball in South Korea?

So I'm thinking about going to teach English in South Korea for a year...

Where are the best paintball fields?

I definitely prefer airball, xball type fields; not woodsball. indoor or outdoor is not important. (although i slightly prefer outdoor)

links (in English) and pics are greatly appreciated.

Check out the link below. Airboss is the owner located at Camp casey. He owns the field. There are other pb fields all around South Korea but not so big. Most of them are ran by locals and ONLY wood games. Better bring your own gear cuz there equipment SUCK.

don't know of any fields near Busan...

Spec 74 is right, go to the 7th element forums and speak with airboss about the two fields he currently operates: 1 in Camp Casey (Bosan subway stop, line 1) and Osan Air Base (Songtan Stop, Line 1).

But as for bringing your own gear, be careful! Paintball guns are not legally defined in South Korea, so if they get stopped in the mail or at the airport, there's no telling what could happen. They could be confiscated and you could get in trouble, or they could decide its a toy and let it go through. There's no laws regarding it, so it will be up to the screener's discretion.

If you're going to Korea as a civilian (as I did), you should go there first, and talk to military people about paintball (gear and playing, etc). They are really friendly, and they can help you get you're stuff shipped over there.

Here's the Osan Air Base field (kinda small field, the bunker layout is changed often)

Here's the Camp Casey field (complete xball, pretty big):

you should use the 7th element forums.... nobody from osan air base (to my knowledge) checks this thread....

just google (7th element forums). you have to join the forums, and an admin (there's only one) has to approve your joining. Just include a message like, "I'm not a bot, I'm a person in korea who wants to play paintball."

Usually ppl go every weekend though

its almost 2 hours from Osan (POV)... so what ever it take to get here, then just add 2. they had a good turn out over at Casey when i went there, good size field as well. Osan is a bit small, BUT always people on sunday! and its hit or miss for saturdays. as far as gear, i'd bring it all (marker, mask, tank, ...w/e) and if you need something Osan has a pro shop.

whats goin on people? Saturday October 3 Osan AB is going to have a 3-man tournament; $60 per team Entry fee, before 28 September And $75 on and after 28 September. $50 a case, trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. if you don't have your own marker, outdoor rec will be renting out IONs. if you would like to sign up contact Osan Outdoor Rec at DSN: 784-4700. have any questions PM me or call up Outdoor Rec. BTW for the people that have played at Osan it will not be at that field next to outdoor rec, there will be a new field (BIGGER) put up for this event!
