Pure Energy On An Angel?

I'm getting a Max Flow for my 'Cocker (since it has a gas-thru) and it'll be coming in probably tomorrow or Wednesday.

Now I still have my 3000/68 Pure Energy tank which I got last year (I've only used it twice on the field) and I wanna put it on my Angel since the 'Cocker will have the Max Flow. Now in your guys experience, are Pure Energies high flow enough to keep up with an Angels ROF with no problem or would you sell it and get a Nitro Duck or some other screw in? The Pure Energy has been great (although I've never used it on an electro) but I will say that without a secondary regulator, the velocity spikes up and down alot. It's not consistant at all, but the mini reg should take care of that.

Other than that it's a great tank. Extremely reliable and well built. But is it "great" enough for an Angel? That's the question.

dude i have a pure energy on my angel, and its not very good. I saw a test a world cup and the most consistant screw in by far is the Crossfire. But remember you always get what you pay for. My advice would be if you have the money to spend then get another tank.

I have a crossfire on mine, but i started with a P.E
and if you think about it they are technically the same thing, because pmi started with crossfire then started P.E so ... but the crossfire has had no let downs so far
and kicks *** on my angel:-)

I have 2 PE tanks, 68/4500 and 88/4500 and have found them very consistent on both guns. Of course they are both newer tanks (5/01). I'm very happy with the PE tanks so far. I saw one of those side by side tank comparisons recently, comparing the Crossfire tank and showing how much more consistent it was, only thing is, they were comparing it to a TurboMax, possibly the worse tank out there.

Nah, none of the fields around here will fill a 4500 psi tank. It drains their tanks real quick. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I shoot a P.E. tank on my angel and it is very consistant and it also light thats why i like it so much.

Ive got a PE on my bonebreak LCD and it hs given me 0 problems.

PE tanks are light, cheap, durable, and have a shorter reg (than a carossfire/nitro duck etc..), to make your tank shorter.

I also have a newer PE tank and I don't have any problems with it. It is pretty consistent and I use it over my HyperFlow tank!

I have a 68/3000 and 88/3000 (stubby 114) Pure Energy Preset. Very small and LIGHT. I have never had a problem at the chrono. I compete in lots of tourneys against all different types of air systems.... I have NO PROBLEMS keepin' up with the $500+ Angel AIRS.

(I paid $120 for my 68 and $175 for 88

I've got a PE 68/4500 on my 2002. Works great. I like the fact that it is compact and it weighs very little. My only issue is my gun uses a lot of gas compared to my old defiant. But that is somewhat understandable. Overall, I am SO glad that I didn't pay the price for an angel air or some other expensive tank. No shootdown at all.

My teamate uses a 45/45 PE screw-in tank with his minireg on his LED. He hasnt had any problems so far and in the last tournament he had no hot gun penalities. The pure energy is a good tank for the price but I still dont think it is as reliable as a AIR, maxflow or geddon

If you are looking for a quality 3000psi screw in tank then you should definately consider the Air America Mele. This tank comes in 47ci, 68ci, and 88ci sizes. I use a 68ci on my Angel and it works great. The tank has an unnoticible recharge time and has a very consistant reg. I can easily shot 12 bps without any visible changes in velocity, also I get about 700-800 shoots with every fill. Not to mention the tank comes with a lifetime warranty.
