start with some 150 then 300, 400, 600, and finish 1000. After all of that, polish everything.

actually finish with 1500 or 2000 and then it will be a mirror finish, 1000 will leave a nice finish if you apply polish, but 2000 won't need the polish to bling.

Anyway once you get it polished get it anno'd, even if you don't want any color, still get it anno'd to protect the metal.

^kool, maybe then I won't have to make it look mirror good. Maybe dust black? any pics of ur work done before?

lol, be like smart parts make it as good as the ions come out. lol the ions have machine cuts and everything still under the anno. I was told that my body is already smoother than the ion body.

as for the ram sleeve stickin out i'm getting a NDZ end cap, so i don't think it will look like a penis out the back of the gun

idk, gloss seems too cool for me to get. If it had some little scratches wouldn't the dust be able to hide them a lot better than gloss?

Not totally, but if you want to hide scratches go with clear ano.

Basically anybody. The only difference is they dont dye the part, so it looks like polished aluminum. You might know of it as "silver" ano.

some companies will probably tell you that they prefure to do the final polishing themselfs before it moves to ano. My marker wa finished a week ago, Im paying an extra $40 to have it proffesionaly polished before it gets a gloss black finish, I expect that should be worth the $40, since your still working on your project I will let you know how the ano comes out, since I did not bother to go down to like a 1500 grit, I simply used sanding weels designed for something close to 800 grit, that ran on a dremel head, and then used polishing weels and polish. Most of my ano quotes told me they would prefure to do the final polishing to keep their vats as clean as possable and to give me the best wuality work they could.
