this will be my first project, and i thought this would be relatively easy since i dont wanna jump in too complicate. im making a functional bull pup ion. i plan on using a famas body, probably this one.

it will be able to accept milsig/rap4 magazines but not the box mag since for one that would look stupid on a famas and two, the famas mag well/stock will prohibit it. i plan on buying a tacamo kit (im researching on the smallest one, but if somebody knows which one is, please share) and fixing part of it and the tacamo mag well around the feedneck. i will try it without the feed neck but that may cause feeding issues. im gonna try drawing my plans on CAD, but i have no idea how to use it and my brother is a terrible teacher (damn software engineers, they have no visualization). i have no ways of fabricating parts unless its done by hand so on this you will probably see a lot of unclean internal wise (when i say internal its really external but will be covered by the airsoft shell)
basically, i will be using a dremel and epoxy puddy (maybe jb weld) to do this. the only thing im worried about is getting the magazine to feed properly. companies have a hard time doing this with guns that are made to be mag fed (tippmann and rap4) let alone me with an ion.
next week (maybe 2 depending on when my paycheck comes in) ill be buying the ion and tacamo kit and ill be working on getting it to feed correctly, and then if that stays on schedule i will be buying the airsoft gun and gutting it. then ill work on the trigger mechanism and then getting and air line out of the airsoft body. then lastly, ill be fitting the ion in the airsoft shell.
if all goes as planned, hopefully ill debut it at living legends and hopefully ill be able to sell it there and then ill be on to my next project. (probably something to do with an mr2 ive had since 09 that ive used like 3 times)
i will keep you guys updated with pictures.
