Those are good choices. Also upgrade the trigger, ION trigger is horrendous.
And if you got the extra dough, get a one piece CP barrel for like $30. And later on get an aftermarket bolt, there are a couple out there just do your research to find which one is best.

Feedneck to start then barrel then go to trigger if you can't stand it. Board and bolt are more important than a qev honestly a qev won't do much with stock board and bolt!

New feed neck deffanetly. Only other thing I did was get a furious barrel and loved how it preformed at that point so I stopped.

Critical Trigger is a must. Had one on my first ion and it was amazing. Super smooth.

Q-Lock Feednecks are great. You'd have to order mostly all your Ion up's online, as they are not as readily available at local pro-shops. Honestly you can buy a fully up'ed ION for so much more LESS than what you would spend on the parts alone.

Hers how I upgrade my Ions in order
Trinity or CCM low rise clamping feedneck,CP trigger,CP on\off ASA& steel line,grips,barrel,TechT L7bolt,SP 360qev,Palmer or AKA reg(if gen 1 reg)Virtue board,body,homemade boxmag
agree that a QEV wont do much unless you change the bolt 1st,do it at the same time to adjust your dwell accordingly, stick with the Smart parts QEV,some other wont fit the frame and the SP was made specificly for Ions
board is more of an extra upgrade, mostly if you want different firing modes(Ramp, tourney settings)

the qev is a great start compared to what some of these people are saying. its one of the cheapest upgrades and offers the most performance gains for the money vs most other parts. youll get an extra 200 shots per fill just from a qev just from being able to lower your dwell setting. the last thing you should change is the bolt as the stock one is already good for 22bps and 1200 shots from a 68/4500 size tank. the qev alone will let take that up to 14-1500 shots from the same tank. besides you need the qev anyway to really take advantage of the aftermarket bolts with their lighter weights and faster cycling capabilities. without the qev they wont be able to vent air fast enough and work as advertised.

the stock barrel isnt horrible either, youll get better accuracy from better paint than you will from a different barrel.

q-lock feedneck is the way to go. i think they are one of the cleanest looking too. if your using a halo loader which is a bit hard to fit in the stock feedneck, take the top o-ring out of the inside of the feedneck and it will fit nicely.

then maybe an on/off asa. this will save your tank threads and make putting your tank on and off MUCH easier. clamping feedneck and on/off asa are great conveniences.

i would buy an aftermarket board before a trigger. lets face it you dont need that great of a trigger when most people use ramping anyway. a neat trick for the stock trigger is to take the magnet out, it helps a lot.

bolt and barrel last. feedneck, qev, asa first. an aftermarket board and trigger if you want it.

fyi it might be more cost effective to sell a stock ion for $60-$70 and then just buy one already upgraded for around $120 vs. buying the parts alone.

edit: oh, one thing to consider about buying a barrel. it'd totally be wroth spending an extra $15-$20 for one of those autococker threaded breaches, and buying a cocker' threaded barrel. then youd have a nice barrel that will fit on most other guns if you decide to upgrade later. its the most common barrel threads.
