I think that fields like Badlansz and Fox should get turf (specially Fox). The grass is kind of messed up anyway and here in Illinois the weather gets very unpredictable. When it rains those fields get messy because the fields are already a mess after so many years of play.
Edited my fail spelling.

as a spectator the event was awesome (was there saturday) great weather that day, ground was decent (couldnt expect better) they at leats put hay down as well to cut down on the mud. the only thing i noticed was less vendors than nppl chicago (which i know doesnt effect anyone who played) and poor shuttle times(just walked instead). all around great event

ya fox is usually running one speedball field and it gets used a lot and its a lot of dirt so it seems it would be smart. obviously a cost but something they should look in to

Teams should plan on playing at their originally scheduled times. Might not be quite on time, but nothing is postponed such that anyone should come later.

why didn't the psp have the event at CPX? this is a very legitimate question. there could be parking for everyone on site, enough space for all 6 fields, and its all flat and nice grass. obviously there was just an event there so i don't know what CPX wanted to do but i think that's a very nice field. especially for the space it has. very open, flat, and heavily grassed fields. this is my .02 and i think its worth looking into...if going back to bolingbrook isn't an option then i would love to play a psp chi event there. im in no way bashing psp for this event though. i had a ton of fun and would play it again...

You've never been to a good event, have you? I really tried to be optimistic about this one but man was I disappointed. Yes, I know, the weather cannot be controlled. However, the parking situation was ridiculous, the setup was awful, and the whole atmosphere was not what one should experience at a national event.
Props to PSP for getting things done and keeping everything running smoothly. This event in no way tarnishes my view of them but I hope it goes to show that the Badlandz is not suited to hold a national event in this day and age. Hopefully next year is back in Bolingbrook or a different, more suitable location.

as a matter of fact i have been to a few great events...as i said this wasnt the best but it was free! no parking fee no grand stand entrance fee and only a 30 min drive for me. i have no true complaints and i had fun and got some sick gear...IMO all around good event

QFMFT.
PSP at Texas got a terrible name because of weather beyond anyone's control.
Then Texas got another bad name because of weather beyond NPPL's control (although scheduling could have changed up a little bit).
But personally, I loved Chicago when I went last year, although I don't think it rained during the event.
Wish I could have gone this year, but school is my #1 priority ( )

Ya, that'll probably never happen again, unfortunately. I bet PSP is saving tons more money by moving events (i.e., Bolingbrook to Badlandz; Disney to Polk City).
Bolingbrook was a quality area. I actually lol'd at the Super 8 motel thread.

Today was just plain nuts for finals. The fields were so muddy i cant even explain it. They def should have put down some hey on the fields. I would say this is an ok event, without the mud it would have been alot better, but the event def needs to be brought back to Bolingbrook.

I loved the event last year. The weather was hot, no rain, Bolingbrook. It was just perfect I hope that it improves next year ie Bolingbrook.

It was what it was. Everyone played the same fields. Mother Nature isn't going to blow sunshine up your *** every weekend you play paintball. Welcome to the Midwest.
Edit:
Also, if the event had been scheduled at Bollingbrook this year, I was told it was underwater due to an intense thunderstorm/tornado. At least we didn't have to wear arm floaties.
