My old barracks in 29 had mold everywhere, and the water was non-potable.

I didn't even have water in my old barracks building. For whatever reason, they cut off the water to my building so we had to walk across the street to get water, take a ****, or take a shower. We just used piss bottles, in the states... thanks Army.
edit - this was after a 15 month deployment, sharing a 1 man room with a ****ing new guy, mind you. Don't wanna hear any **** from any of you ****s

Where I live now is a tiny room, four wall lockers, one desk, one chair, two people, share bathroom with suite mates. No acess to a kitchen, all the washer and driers are broken. **** is redick, I wouldnt even mind it if there was AC but nope, they way ours are set up it's a furnace inside for some reason.
It can be a comfortable 70* out and it will be about 90* inside when the sun is out. PRetty retarded we go outside to cool off in the summer.
In AIT we lived in old air force barracks they had condemned and were about to tear down before the army took over them. The actual room wasnt too bad considering it was still Tradoc, two beds, two desks, share a bathroom with two others. What was stupid was the mold. Every month we would have to take the AC vent cover off and scrape layers of mold off the inside that had collected. Doing it once a month would fill a coffee mug with mold sludge.

In AIT we had 80 man bays.. covered in feces, dip spit, semen, mold, you name it. Why does 1st Cav get those barracks? At least spend some of the money on the guy with no plumbing!

So why didn't you guys empty out the bays and bring in a fire hose to clean it?

Well it's not like I have anything to do with the quality of the barracks or the decisions of where military funds go.

We did empty the bays.. twice. 80 steel beds and 80 steel wall lockers were to picnic to move. And there really wasn't anywhere to move them cause right outside the barracks door was a set of stairs leading up to them and the CTA down below. We also didn't have fire hoses, just old mops and floor buffers. We cleaned that thing from 1730-2100 every night because it was required, but it never looked any better due to our lack of equipment.
