I would be all for an "old guy league" how about a weeknight thing, something organized with prizes and trophies?

Lets brainstorm and get some feedback and ideas going. We could do it on Wednesday nights? Mil sim layout?

Initial ideas: 6 weeks long, 3 man format, mil sim layout, cheap paint and trophies? We would have to do it on Wednesday nights as its the only other day we could add it.

I KNEW IT!!!

If I said: Old Guy...
Eric would be all over it.

I like the Wednesday night...
And if we did it for a trophy, it either has to be the smallest thing in the entire world or a traveling trophy that grows...
like the Stanely cup

It could stay at the shop...
For a prize, let's say Losers have to buy a round of drink for the winners??

Quick age limit, above 20-ish??

You have to realize that from where Brew is positioned, Eric gets a lot of college clientele. This means that there are a lot of people over "20-ish" that normally play there. If you wanted to run something like this, you would probably want to run a 30+ or something simmilar, maybe follow masters division and rules (40+)

My short story, I suffered from multiple concussion syndrome. And the best part, I got all of them during practices with people I only place with once.

And if you want a frame of reference, played during 2000 to 2006. That's when you shot lasers - 30 bps.

For some reason it was always a new guy trying to pull the run through. I wish more people realized: you don't get a achievement or badge for doing the run through. And you don't get anything good for nuking another player.

What do you do get: one really pissed off dude who your going to see at the next practice. Soon the group of people you practice with going to shrink.

But hey, I am old old man (compared to the kids) and have little clue about what it takes to be a pro. I was always stuck being a ref at PSP and NPPL games.

Although back in the day, paintball was like chess. You thought about each move and your aggressive because your out thinking the rest of the field.

Here's a crazy idea: could we make an old man league? It would be like young gun, instead it's over 20 league...
Thoughts?
They have masters in the PSP 40+

Hey man Im sorry for over shooting you guys but, you got to think about being in my situation that i was doing a run through and had just shot four people on your team, and when you didn't signal that you were out my instinct was to continue to shoot you but, again I do apoligize. Also, I am just getting back into paintball after being away for 3 years and that day was my second time playing since i got back into the sport, and before I took that break people played more aggressively I guess, and when a game was moving slowly somebody would make a move to try and win. Another thing I don't recall being chewed out by anybody, and the only reason I left that day was because I was out of paint and done playing. Another thing my marker was not ramping I have always played semi auto. I will be continuing to play at brew city and I guess I will have to adapt and learn to play less aggressively.

Agreed, 30-35+ would be great. Get those ppl that have been out of the sport or school for awhile, or just wanna play some good big bunker strategic ball.

Awesome feedback and response from everyone.

I love the idea of a 30 plus league, did not know the master are at 40...
That's crazy, but something to aspire too!

I agree with your statement but I guess I didnt word my meaning of more fast pasted playing that seems to be a result from ramping of recent years rather than skill level. I agree that an experienced semi player would beat any new player who is ramping especially without coaching.

Also is there any news about a mix-n-match or other tourny in the near future? I'd love to get some of my old teammates together for a tourny.

Much love for all you old guys, I'm just salty because I'm borderline "old guy" and I hate it! I'm gonna rock some mad PSP tourneys this year and show you all what an old guy can do!
