I just got a pump autococker and have been ccming it. I want to change out the lower internals but cant figure out how to get the allen key to fit with the valve stem sticking out of the middle. I saw the is a valve tool but cant seem to find one to buy. Can someone tell me how to take it out without the tool or if someone has one please sell me it. Thanks

you need the tool. you can resell them for almost the full value anyway

THIS. Don't buy a valve tool, or drill out an allen key. Just take one of the WGP cocking rods (aftermarket ones dont have the proper shape) and get a socket wrench with an extender. It just happens (or was it intentional??? ) to be the exact size for removing the valve retainer.

This is probably the best trick I've ever learned in all my years of fixing guns, not just cockers.

Ill take using my valve tool over trying to cram the cocking knob in there any day. I used the hex knob for a few years before buying a valve tool and it is indisposeable in my tool box.
Yes, you can use the hex knob but the valve tool will save you time, plus it makes installation a lot easier. There are also some valves that you cannot use the knob on. If the valve stem or stem collar is too large, it wont fit into the threaded hole of the knob, you are SOL then.

I tried the cocking knob trick on my '04 cocker and it wouldnt work. Had to order a tool from comulsive paintball.

If you are truely going to be working on your cocker buy a freak'n valve tool, don't be a cheap skate. As many guns as I take apart I would never ever use a cocking rod.
I hate it when people tell people to do something half ***, I guess that's the way of life, I get guns all the time that have been banged, beaten, scratched, marred, etc because someone doesn't care, didn't take the time, or didn't want to spend the money. It's a shame when you see that rare marker all screwed up.
