Excalibur milling pics
hello All,
I have been following the "PB dojo" site, but since I am not a member have not been able to post. I have been wanting an Excal since they were first talked about. I was going to get one of the first ones, but talked myself out if it. Well, I decided I needed a new toy so I took the plung. Proud owner of #215, un-anoed and double trigger. I have done the milling myself, just a hobbiest on the milling not a machinest by trade, as you can tell by the milling. I just do it in my spare time. I could have done more, but I just wanted it light and I wanted to get it back soon.
Let me know what you think? So, what about the swords on the front of the grip frame and the ball detent? You saw it here first!
Jasson.

I think that's a great job for doing it yourself, I especially like the sword on the ball detent, the cross on the asa, and the stair like stuff on top.

I like your gun, it would look sweet if you just got the regular black stock ano they have. I shot an excal yesterday and it was unbelievable. I wish I had that kinda money.

Your right, and thanks for the advise
Yeah Pureluck your right, and most people don't know that. I did some milling on a cocker ( could send pics if you want) that I still have and had PK do the ano, and I know you have to do a closer look at the gun at the milling. I was aware of that, but thanks.
I did think about that on this gun, but I really like the splash. I am going with a medium to dark blue with with clear lines (some people call it splash, but PK calls it lines). I also didn't want to go with a single color, because I thought it might be a little plain, but it was a hard choice. I was debating about it until the last minute. I really didn't do that much milling, because I knew I would go with the splash. That is why I didn't do anything down the sides. I could have done more milling, but I wanted to finish it the weekend I got it. I only wanted to give it a little personal touch.
I will post when I get it back.

More than just a drill press
Well, its a little more than a drill press. It is mill made for milling on metal. And as I said before, I didn't do much to it because I really didn't have much time. I wanted to get it done so I could get it back. I just talked to P.K. today and it's finished! It was sent to AKA today and I HOPE to get it by the end of the week, because I have a big game I want to go to. I will post pics!

Chemecalx,
Sure, I would love to see some pictures. I love seeing things that individuals create. It's a lot of fun. The only thing (and you may know this) if you are doing any lateral cutting you much have an end mill. They are sharper and made for lateral cuts, drill bits are not.

If I did that then I would have to delete the first post, which is text only, which would delete the whole thread. Personally I don't want it to be EXACTLY like the Angel thread. I'd rather see pictures of Excaliburs instead of Angels
I did stick it to the top so it doesn't need to be upped.
