Of course the gun will still cycle, but whether it will allow the ram to strike the poppit hard enough to release enough pressure for shot at 285 fps is the question.

well now thats the point of a lpr..... to slow the rammer speed down, you would then compensate the slower speed with either higher hpr pressure or higher dwell or a combination of both

Yeah.... No.
Every poppit has its sweet spot lpr wise. If your lpr is a hair low, you'll get inconsistency over the chrono. Too low and you wont be able to bring it to chrono no matter how high you raise the hpr.

I heard it was around 10psi and they aren't needed on Egos. The reason they keep putting them on is because we won't buy them with out them. I heard it from a guy that went to a PE tech class and said the tech told them that it was best to leave the lpr alone and it basically does nothing.
I'm just saying, I don't know better either way

i checked my 11 today with the pressure tester, all the way in is around 50ish psi and all the way out is around 100ish and 2 turns in was roughly 85ish and i say ISH because the factory gauge on the violent tester sucks ***....

I have always wondered that myself and never really got a consistent answer. When I go 2 turns in from flush with the cap the head of the screw stops right before you can see the threads in the cap which I think is pretty
If I go 2 turns in from flush with the threads it leaves threads showing which I think is ugly
I have never been able to tell a difference shooting so I chose the first option.
I would love to finally get a solid answer to this question and I'm so glad you asked it? I couldn't really figure out a way to word the way I wanted to make people understand but you nailed it I think

I've always run my LPR 1 turn in from flush because when I got it it wouldn't chrono above the 270's at 2 turns in. this is with stock parts

theres some issues with your gun. you shouldnt need to turn your lpr up in order to get to normal velocity. i would suggest to check your dwell and clean on relube your gun....

Used my kit for the frsit time yesterday in my CSL. Didn't get to do a fully tuning adjustment. Noticed I was shooting at 300fps when I first started. Had to turn it down a bit to get under 280. Proceeded to play the day. Played two games. Started at about 4000psi. Shot two full Prophecy V.2s (the first prophs with stock nose) and just about 6 Dye lock lids (advertised at 160 capacity so I'll round down to 150). If I'm adding correctly; 200 + 200 + (150x6); then I was looking at about 1300 shots with just under 1000psi still left in the tank.

i have put about 5 cases through my dart kit and all i can say is the efficiency keeps getting better . off a cool 4000 psi fill i am getting 9 pods (140) and a rotor with +/- 1000 psi left in the tank. the marker is extremely smooth as well...and i still have yet to mess with any lpr/dwell settings...still stock. the only settings i tinkered with are the sfr's and they are at 3-7. the sound has changed from a pop to a bup if that makes sense.

Not a tremendous difference in feel but then the CSL originally had a LP valve in it to begin with. But it does feel a bit smoother. Sound signature has definitely changed though. Still loud but not like it was before. It's not that loud POP that is was originally.
