LCD/IRS LPR Stip down?

Is there a tutorial anywhere for stripping down the LPR from an LCD/IR3 to allow exchange of regulator seat?

I've looked at both the LCD and IR3 manual and found Sweet FA!

Yeah, the LPR on that generation was not intended to be serviceable. The threaded portion that allows access to the main seal is loctited in place and the body is made of soft brass, so it is very difficult to separate them without rounding out the hex key slot. If the seal is bad anyway then the LPR is useless, so you've got nothing to lose, but those are just things to keep in mind. As ECA says, use a lot of heat to bust the loctite. Use good quality, tight-fitting hex keys as well. If the hex key slot rounds out you can try clamping the spring boot side of the LPR and turning the body. Make sure you adequately protect it (soft wood in bench vise jaws, or a leather or rubber strap in vice grips jaws work well).

Thanks guys.

I was only wondering from a "maintenance" point of view. I've always been an advocate of maintaining any and all of my markers.

This was one of those... "I can see there is a seal in there, but if needed, how the hell do I change it" kind of quandaries!

So, this is one of those classic cases of "if it ain't broke, leave the f**k alone" type deals?

Yeah, don't access the seal unless it's bad. Once it's bad then like I said before, you've got nothing to lose by trying.
