Tried a seated calf raise today with legs but I kept cramping up. I couldn't get past 3 reps before cramping. Anyone have experience with this or know of a cause/solution? Pretty sure I'm not doing it wrong.

What about sodium?

Probably not. I started with a lower weight, then work up like I always do, but couldn't even get past 3 reps without cramps.

Sodium helps prevent muscles from cramping IIRC

That's probably not the issue. I probably take in more sodium than I should.

nice man, that's the great part of being in the US for rugby... none of the national level superstars who turned down millions of $ to play for a foreign team get any recognition in this country. You'd never see Ray Lewis coaching high school football.

BRB had Mike Petri coach our team after he came back from the world cup this year.

BRB no1 knows who mike petri is

exact same thing happens to me. I just bought some salt tablets, gonna try those. Seemed to help yesterday, but I didn't have time to hit my calves directly.
