no i just hate having only one working mech and having to wait a while if i get killed. i want a mode with respawn

then all you would ever see is guasscat/ac20cat/splattercats with just enough ammo for a couple volleys cause they wont live long enough to fire more than a few times. it would be pointless then. everyone would just get their 2-3 kills and respawn. the whole idea is to use tactics and adapt accordingly. you just dont notice it in pugs...we played 8 man the other night and got completely destroyed 0-8 3 games in a row, due to co-ordinated teams that built their mechs to fill a role.

granted it was mostly all er ppc's and guass rounds to our faces as soon as we were visible....made pugging seem much more fun lol.

I completely forgot about marik madness. My friend put up a Minecraft server today and I just spent about 5 hours on it. That game gets you every time.

We did a trial atlas drop a few rounds later and it was lulzy. 8 trial mechs marching in a conga line, the other team didn't seem so organized and we basically picked off 3 of them with lrms before the bulk of their team got to us. Then we pretty much destroyed them, didn't lose a single guy lol

That sounds like it was a lot of fun. I've always wondered how games like that would turn out. I just picture your screen shaking from LRM fire the entire time.

I was on the AOD clan server for a few minutes. I only played two or three drops when I realized I was just too tired to be messing around and went to bed.

Not really, I took relatively little fire as I was in the middle of the pack for the most part. Took a few ac20 rounds, but I still had all my armor on at the end, nothing went past yellow. The few times I took lrms I was able to get behind a building and shake off the few that hit. It must have sucked for the initial atlas we took down, as soon as he got spotted we just rained lrms down. Imagine 8 salvos of lrm 20's just appearing from the sky in a continuous stream.

New patch is rolling out now, this is my favorite part of it:

Fall Damage Tuning:

- Fixed excessive fall damage while moving across bumpy surfaces and falling from short heights.

FINALLY. My raven will not take damage from running over some rocks. Hopefully it works, we shall see when the servers come back up.

Also, they now have a dedicated server, and apparently it is on the east coast somewhere, because I've noticed recently that my ping went from 60ish to 30ish. A lot of interesting little bits were put into this patch, so much of an improvement over the last one. PPC's now affect ECM's, which is nice to counter all the people crying about them, so prepare to see a **** ton of 6 ppc stalkers. Crit system looks like it is being implemented in a more defined way now, machine guns, flamers and lbx's will actually be useful now. I can't wait to see the mg spam spiders running all over the place.

Leg damage seems to be fixed, trebuchets are funky looking, kinda like a commando's big brother.

Scott are you playing under a different name? I never see you on anymore.

Edit: Searching for matches seems to take a LOT longer now...

No, I just haven't been on lately. Planning on getting on in a few minutes.

And servers went back down. I think they are probably dealing with the matchmaking problem, out of 5 solo launches 2 failed to find a match and 2 others were 2 minute waits before they actually found a match.

Edit: Backup, with no acknowledgement that it even happened. Guess we crashed the "dedicated" server.
