E3 The Van City Open Wind Up
I had fun at the event, and have to say the ref crew ( if it was the same as E2) seemed more relaxed and reffed possibly the best job I've ever experienced in 20 years of paintball ( well maybe the old Personal Vendetta & BC Storm crews could argue) they seemd more relaxed, less wanting to prove they where in control , let the players play, and penalized fairly and when necessary. A few may disagree, but I played and watched a ton of games from D4 and D3 in the morning to the final 1 on 1 shootout of D1 at the end. They where on the job, checking without interfering, in position on maybe 90% of the calls ( hey like any crew they blew a few, it happens, but they where minor misses, and nothing really game changing) great job to the refs.
The games where interesting and the field was..........well we managed to rack up a paintbill of over 4G's so it was a shooters field I'd say. Malicious Intent, props to you guys, you played great all weekend and deserved the trophy in D2, I enjoyed watching the battles throughout the days in D1 with the tide rolling back and forth with no one really blowing anyone else away.D3 was interesting as usual, you see stuff that makes you blink a few times to make sure you really just saw that. And D4 was the most fun to watch, all different levels of play from the Apprentices, made for some interesting games. The next stop isn't till September so a bit of a break form regular 7 man and 5 man, but the MRX event on July 12/13 should be interesting.
Goog job again by the Mike & Mike crew!

We were the team with the table right next to you. Bunch of haggard looking guys wearing dye skull camos and a joy division jersey. Not the best looking group but we are charming as they come. Thanks for the pod fills in the last game.
