gauge on extcy
does the stock reg accept all gauges, and if not, which ones in particular do i need to look for?
and side note: i just want to make sure that to switch to macroline fittings i need 1, straight fitting for the reg, and 1, 90 degree from the asa?

Not sure if you can put a gauge on the extcy/envy but if you do find out a way to put one on let me know! And yes you would need a 90 degree fitting for the asa and either a straight or 90 degree fitting for the reg.

Im pretty sure that hole is for excess air to bleed out if the pressure in the reg gets too high. The gun is made to be able to use co2 and we all know co2 can fluctuate in pressure depending on the temperature or if liquid co2 gets into the reg and then expands. So that hole is there for safety measures.
I wish i could put a guage on my envy though.

that makes sense, but i really dont understand why they wouldnt just have a reg spot, even if its above the reg like the ions used to.
thanks for the help

If you guys must have a gauge for your reg, I recommend one of these. Most gauge's are 1/8th npt threaded and will work, just make sure you get a 0-300 psi gauge.

So you screw the adapter on top of your reg and their will be a gauge hole on the CP adapter?

Hmm i might just buy one of these. I do want a guage on my reg because i like the way they look and they are useful. So you would just simply take off the reg, and then just screw this in the top of the reg? Would i have to take the reg apart? (i dont have snap ring pliers to do so). The description says that it "adds a gauge port to your custom products regulator"... Will this fit the gog envy's stock regulator? Its a max flo r regulator i think.

It is the max flo, but I think all regs are the same at the top except the newer dye ones (I think they changed to dye only in like 09)

Do you know for sure? Because I don't want to order one of those and have it not fit lol. And will the steel braided line still reach? Because that gauge adapter will extend the reg. down a bit.

The eXTCy does not have a provision for a gauge because people ***** up a storm about how gauges "don't look good". I'm with you guys, I liked having it there on the Ion but sadly the majority wins on this one.

Worse comes to worse, you can resell the adapter. And if it Fits you just get another piece of steel hose and cut it to fit (or maybe jut trim the current one you have)

I dont get why they wouldnt just leave a hole on the reg for a guage, that way the majority of people who dont like guages dont have to have them, and the minority of people like me who want a guage can buy one and install it. Its not like it would be a giant hole on the side of the reg... It would be barely noticable. Damn gog, whats wrong with you guys lol

A bunch of companies now have a gauge hole covered up by something so it's impossible to tell

Yes.

No. May have to remove your ss hose, but this would be a good time to switch to macroline anyway.

Yes, it will work as the CP reg is a replacement for just about any reg on the market, they all have the same thread pattern.

Yes, it will work, it's universal threaded just like the Maxflo. I would switch to macro anyway, it's a lot easier to work with then SS hose and easier to replace if something happens to it.

I agree about swapping to macro line, it's like 15 bucks for the fittings and the hose itself with extra

I just don't understand why so few people don't take the time to implement the gauge into the backcap.
Easier reading, will make for a tool-less disassembly, and allows the gun to still appear gaugeless from the sides and feel as if it is as well.
You can also tell very quickly if you're having issues with something such as shootdown.

How would you remove the bolt assembly if you mount the gauge on the back cap ?
