Kreno, we all agreed to that. (Or at least me and kAmAkAzEe)
But since we don't bold guns down to play, guns don't have the same accuracy.

Maybe I'm a little late, but to break down what DeathFlame was saying is that because the matrix's trigger pull doesnt require nearly as much force, and because it has more balanced weght, and more weight in general, it won't move as much when shooting, and therefore shot to shot accuracy will be more consistent...take a bushy for example...because of how light it is, it moves a good deal when fired and therefore its accuracy is sometimes less than commendable, however if you bolted it down, then it woud have nowhere to move to...and so we can conceive from this the idea that all guns fire the same when bolted down, under the same conditions, with the same barrel, yada yada yada, but in gameplay, things out of the players control will effect the marker...as for my personal choice,MATRIX ALL THE WAY...this is my second matrix, and i love it, and i wouldnt trade it for any impulse in the world..
Hope that all helped whoever was having trouble understanding the argument..

yup..shot stock, rat, demonic, toxic, eclipse..shot most of the good ones...theyre nice, but i have issues with markers where i can see the bolt moving, and i just dont like how bouncy it is...just my opinion...the one good impulse i have shot, that i really did like was the freak factory impulse with I-frame, and i wouldnt mind having one of those, but as a backup of course..

so the matrix is all internal, no external moving parts? Also since they have no delrin bolts for the matrix, does the SS bolt wear on the inside of the matrix? Does the matrix have any kick at all?

yes,the matrix is completely internal...as a matter of fact it only has 2 moving parts:the bolt and the solenoid.Th bolt doesnt wear on the inside of the matrix because the moving pieces of the bolt do not touch the sides of the matrix...the face of the bolt it almost...freestanding...other than the threaded rod, the matrix is prbably one of the best designs in paintball..and the matrix has very little kick beause of how well balanced it is

I like the Matrix out of the two, and I shoot (well, used to shoot) a top of the line imp, it had everything. There wasnt anything more I could do to it...

ya but is a gun bolted down while you play your hyperball game i doubt it therefore a matrix would be more accurate due to its lack of kick(when compared to a spyder, tippman, MAG COUPH, ect...)
but when you compare my imp now with an lpr and my matrix now with and lpr as well the matrix is only slightly better because it wont chop while my imp does at times and even a vision can chop on the last shot due to balls bouncing in the chamber, but my matrix phisicaly can't chop.
i agree if you get a gun bolted down, they will be the same but don't focus on that because thats not how it will be when your are playing. soooooooooooo i say go with the matrix not only for the reasons obove but these
good effeiciency (with silver bolt kit of coarse)
doesnt' chop (lpr needed)
great company backing(aardvark)
removeable breach(nicccccccccccccccccccccceeeee)
great trigger/frame( vast aray of great triggers and new frames)
cons
acutualy heavy
ineffecient(stock bolt
may leak due to user error
don't listen do adg they are trying to defend their own markers
hope i didn't offend anyone but this is all true

Think of it this way. The impulse relies on electronics to not chop, the matrix relies on physics.
The matrix has a kickass trigger out of the box, it doesn't kick at all, and the company backing it up has much better customer service. The matrix has one moving part: the bolt/solenoid assembly. How many guns can say that?
The matrix has so many o-rings because it has many sheaths that protect the actual bolt. This way the bolt never EVER rubs against the inner walls of the matrix and never EVER gets worn down. This is why the bolt assembly has a bajillion pieces. You don't have to worry about your bolt getting scratched up anymore.
Matrices come stock with cocker threading, barrels MUCH easier to find.
You can buy a matrix LCD with an LPR and bolt kit already installed for about $999. Oh yeah, there's an LCD screen on it too I guess.

what about the bolt?
Seems to me the bolt would have something to do with it. Cause a stock bolt can make the air hit the ball at a certain point giving it a spin. Thus to make it perfect, you'd have to have the same bolt pattern? (just a thought)

matrix for sure. i own a matrix and i've had no regrets about it.
the impulse is similar to a bushmaster. i once owned a bushmaster. but am now selling it because my matrix is so much better

Uh huh. And since when has a scratched up bolt ever affected ANYTHING? I've seen a couple 'Cockers with over 250,000 rounds through them with the same bolt and they still worked perfectly. See, that's what oil is for people.
I hate to be the devils advocate here but I can honestly say that all Matrixes I've seen in my area have not impressed me with their reliability. They have way too many o rings, maintaining them is worse than my ex girlfriend, they're hideous, and even with the bolt kit, they're still not as effecient as an Impulse.
Go ahead and flame me but for these very reasons, to me a Matrix doesn't even compare.
And if chopping really is an issue for you, then get a Halo B. From all the people that have tried it that I know of, not one person has complained of chopping. I thought of getting a Matrix at one point. Thank god I made the right choice not to.
Also, I can't help but observe the fact that everyone who favors the Matrix, are Matrix owners! *cough*biasedfodder*cough*

Not that this mean anything..
SC Ironmen won the Chicago Open (Pro) with... Matrix's
Trauma won the Chicago Open (Am) with.. Matrix's
Any gun is as reliable as the owner. You keep your gun in working order, it'll work for you. The Matrix does not have as much 'work' to keep it in working order as many believe. In fact, you take it apart (no tools needed) and inspect the o-rings and grease it up, and she's good to go.

i have a matrix with a trinity and a bolt kit and a aligator trigger
and i have yet to chop a ball i have about 8-10 cases of paint through it so far and never ahd a leak or anything just lube it after ever 4-6k rounds and check the orings thats all and it has no kick back i mean very very little its amazing and its quiet not that it matters but the matrix is a nicer gun than a visoin freak impulse and co2 sucks in any gun so go with nitrogen.

most of my team uses imps. On sunday we practiced and my teammate and I could hit this twig at the end of the field in 2 shots or less (not exaggerating). He has a Freak Factory Imp (used to have a matrix) and I have a Rat Imp.

I would go with a matrix. Low *** operating pressure. No chops. Accurate as ****. Angel trigger, which is ooober nice. And by the time you spend the money on the eye and the other upgrades needed to make it as good as a matrix it costs the same if not more so I suggest getting a matrix.
Maybe you should make this a poll?
