Dislike the title. Sucks playing in a league that gets such little respect...and in regard to the new pro teams what else are they supposed to do? Have a small division? Or give new teams a chance to step up? To play pro you have to be approved by the board, and have some level of competition with your roster...it's not just a buy in format... Frustrating to see all the smack on that topic haha

It's hard for me to take the pro division in the NPPL seriously when a team like Phoenix Contact was able to get in. I respect the drive, time and effort people have put in to actually earn their spot there. I don't want to say too much about the NPPL because I know the people that run the league read PbN, but I'll just say I don't blame the players for the state the NPPL is in and where it is. I want paintball to grow, in all formats, but when it's being done in a detrimental way, I have a hard time taking it seriously.

Phil veatch used to play with the naughty dogs pro in Nxl and 7 man, and a few others have also played competitive ball. Contact did ****ty in vegas regardless...Uprising joined the league with one person who had ever played pro, and ended up taking third at our second and third event. I was part of the original process of getting the team in nppl and I know there are competitive requirements to get a spot.

Phil and one other person on Contact have played Pro, IIRC. Everyone else is just D2-D3 kids and it showed. I know first events are rough for a Pro team, but Impact was basically toying with them at Vegas.
EDIT: Jeff Milam, used to play on Detroit Strange and Elevation when they were pro.
