Need some college Diet help

I am on my second year of college and I need to try and find a way to keep my shape. I watch what I eat. I make sure i'm not eating horrible and I don't drink alot. The only thing is it's hard to eat all the good stuff because I eat what I can get. With lack of money, time and resources, I don't get to have what I want to eat. I work 16 hours a week and work out three times a week. The only thing that I can't stand is during the summer, I couldn't eat alot without getting full right away. Now that i'm in college, I can't eat enough to fill myself up. What happened?

I don't want to look like I did at the end of last year

I want to keep the shape I have now.

I just need help to find ways to stop snacking, tips on what to choose and keep me strong and not give in. I know pretty much what to do. I've lost 65 pounds.

Well self dicipline comes to mind. You really need to just learn what to eat. I think Muscle Chow is a good book? I dont have it personally but everyone loves it. Its not hard to eat right and cheaply, but it does take some knowledge.

the best thing you can do is to eat 4-6 meals throughout the day and hit your maintence calories or above. its gonna keep your metabolism goin and you wont be hungry until the next time you need to eat. i understand how it is bein in school and lack of funds, but just scrounge some money together and buy a bunch of chicken, frozen veggies, brown rice, etc. cook it all at the begining of the week and just leave it in the fridge and take as you go. i bring a sandwich to school everyday to eat beucase its all i can get. its tough at times, but you can work it out

Not to mention the fact that if you drink a ton of water, sodium intake needs to be increased.

Sams Club <3 Its the only place you will not be completely raped for them. They are extremely expensive if you buy them individually or in the small bag.

Dietary cholesterol is a big sham... Go do some research and you'll find that many emerging studies are starting to find that eating cholesterol has very little, if any effect on blood cholesterol levels. Saturated fat on the other hand.....

yeah dude, eating a little extra cholesterol and sodium arent going to do anything as long as you dont have any preexisting heart or blood pressure issues.

Anyway, for the OP...

Go buy bulk almonds, walnuts, and pick up lots of fruits and veggies. Frozen bags are fine, as long as extra sugars, etc aren't added in. Snack on them all day. Snacking is good, as long as your choices are good. Eat a lot, and eat often. As long as it's from quality, real foods you'll continue to be lean. It's when people gorge themselves in bull**** all day and then sit on their *** that they become soft and pudgy.

Thats because the website grades it based on healthy ******ish views, not those of a bodybuilder. One who wants to build muscle only needs to focus on protein carbs and fat, no reason to go any further.

Hey man,

College food is rough, I'm in my second year too and last year I put on about .. 50lbs over the school year, I lost 60~ over the summer and now I need to lose about ... 40 more and I'll be content. I live on a meal plan so my choices of food are limited, it just takes creativity to find the right combination that works for you. I recommend wholesalers (Costco/Sams Club) for lower prices on foods.
