Anyone been stationed at Goodfellow? Any advise on things to do around this area? It seems boring as hell in this town.

get schwasted? I can ask some intel dudes I know next time I see one. I'm gonna be having lunch with a guy who spent 6 months there on thursday now that I think about it. We went to the same ROTC detachment but he graduated a couple years ahead of me.

Goodfellow is pretty damn boring, sorry you had to go there

Im here right now. You just have to find things to do. But in all honesty, everything is 3 hours away. Are you here for training for perm party?

Students think this place is pretty awful. Ive been here for a little over 2 years, the base has grown on me. But this part of Texas blows. Were too far from other cities

Is there anyone here that is near McGuire or Ft. Dix? I need to find either A) a roommate or B) someone who knows where a good apartment is.

I think I found one but either the people who write the reviews are picky as **** or the places im looking at really ****ing suck. Also closest thing to base is 29 min away

Recruiter told me because i scored above a certain threshold on the asvab, that i'll be booking a job within the next month.

Kind of. Your score will determine your eligibility for certain jobs. I don't think that you will be placed ahead of others based on your score though...At least I have never heard of that happening. But a higher score on the ASVAB will make your recruiter more interested in you... which can go a long way.

I bet priority will be based on slot openings and ship dates. I doubt she will put anyone on hold based on test scores.

wow tech school is alot different now then it was for me, granted i was at goodfellow for fire school. the pipeliners get up at 0300 on MWF for PT, by lunch they look like zombies.
