Challenge park

There are a couple fields in lubbock. The best in my opinion is Challenge Park. They have a little bit of everything for everyone. Good woods fields, hyperball, spools, airball, 4500 fills and a full proshop in the mall. The store is in the mall called challenge games and the field is located at E. 50th and the loop.

If you check the Texas Off Topic thread (there's a link in my sig) you'll find a lot of the Lubbock players in there. Most of them/us play at Challenge.

Challenge, In my opinion, is a rip off. I play at Apache acres, and that's the place to go for speedball. Paint is cheap too, $45 a case for stinger, and that's with entry! They have airball and hyperball, and a soon to be Xball field. They also have 4500 fills. jacob and fabian are a great bunch of guys, and if your gun goes down, they won't play till it's fixed. The teams are divided evenly, unlike at challenge. Yes, we lack the proshop, but Jacob orders us everything we will ever need. PM me, and I'll give you my phone number to call and I can give more info.

Heres how paintball in Lubbock breaks down. I have played for both field teams in Lubbock and have nothing bad to say about either place. Both places have almost the exact same pricing and just about the exact same service. Where it breaks down is what are you looking for. Challenge has a full x-ball field and runs clinic style practices. Apache has a 5 man airball setup that they play on. Both fields have 4500 fills so theres no argument there. As far as the fixing your gun part ask any of the guys at apache to see their certifications, you wont find any. Lee and Brandon at challenge are both certified gun techs for just about every marker on the market so there is no question about who I would take my repair work to. As far as the "evenly divided" teams thing goes both places stack the teams, and its to be expected. I go to practice to practice with my team not random walk ons so dont let anyone feed you that BS. The thing about Lubbock paintball is theres alot of 1 sided trash talk that goes on and you just have to decide for yourself what you want in a field.

Thats true. But apache is no more. The owner's wife is in bad health, and they had to sell the field. So I'll probably be out at Challenge more now.

The land around lubbock is $10,000 an acre, minimum. My parents are looking to build a house, that's how I know. Unless it's an amazing field, people will still go to challenge. Lubbock just doesn't have enough people who play paintball to justify spending $30,000+ to open a field.

Challenge has several woodsball fields. Some need some work right now, but they play really well IMO. That has nothing to do with me working there either. I really like to play them.

Yep. Challenge's woodsball fields are were they excel. Apache just closed down, so you'll be seeing me alot more at Challenge. I just can't figure out what the hyper ball course is made out of. It's almost like molded mud...

If I buy paint in the mall at Challenge, I can play with it at the field Challenge right?
