NPPL NEO 2013 Webcast!

Hey everyone,

I didn't see a thread on here, so figured I'd start one. NPPL posted on Facebook this morning a link to the webcast:

Only problem at this time, is it is down due to weather

I'm hopefully they will have it up at some point today

Just refreshed the page...they won't have it up until tomorrow due to weather

Nice. Thats a welcome and refreshing surprise! For all of you looking to see tangible NPPL improvements post-ownership change, theres a pretty significant one! I havent seen the quality yet, but the mere fact that its up and running on its own dedicated site is a pretty big deal.

On that note, the site looks pretty smooth too. To add a second post-Shawn Walker/pbpromotions improvement, it looks like the site is pretty up to speed on scores/schedules, and dare I say it, its a lot cleaner that the cluttered and text-heavy appa site where we have to wade through tons of text and links to get to official psp scores.

Its still early, but those 2 changes are looking pretty good (so far).

I know you have a lot of doubters Shawn, and you are taking over at a tough time with a tall order, so I wanted to give initial credit where it is due (so far): nice work. Many of us are pulling for you to keep the NPPL going to bring it back to its glory days so we can have 2 strong paintball leagues and ensure maximum visibility, success, and playability for the sport of paintball as a whole. Now lets keep it rolling!

What is this being captured with? a cell phone? Between the constant buffering and terrible quality its not really watchable.

Working now. Low quality and being filmed from behind the net from a stationary angle...but a webcast non the less.

Web cast is very limited, no angles, only one view, no idea who is on the field, no commentary,
No fun to watch, not saying this because it is NPPL . Hope they did not spend much on the web cast.

i'll rather play than sit and watch on my computer. too bad i dont have a team to play with in this event.

Can't believe they have no basic commentary. Grab any two paintballers and have them go at it. Better than this silent mystery. At least show the score board. Sad!

Looks like a flip phones plugged into a computer running windows 98...I've seen better quality in a middle school media class/

When will the NPPL see that the bar has been raised by PBA?

You can't just half-*** a "webcast" and expect people to think it's great just because there's a camera where before there was none. Apparently the new owners haven't figured this out yet.

Are you dissing me because I do not like the webcast? I would rather play too but life does not always allow it. To me it is not worth watching that's all, my choice, you have fun watching though.

Atleast put team names on the screen and we can try and determine which team it is by the pixel color.

On another note it's good to see that they have a webcast but little effort was put in to it and I am 90% sure the pro field was the practice field for 7 man due to personal experience from playing at oxcc all winter.

They just had a hurricane come rock the place for crying out loud. Any streaming video is good. Everyone one is yelling DIE NPPL DIE and then when they have a crappy website everyone is like WHERE IS THE 1080P HD INSTANT FREE WEBCAST?!?

Since its clear that the mic is on and works judging by all the background noise, how about someone, anyone, picking up the mic, saying which teams are up and what the score is, bare minimum would be better than just meaningless chatter.
