would halfblocking get rid of the cockers function as a closed bolt gun? is there a way to keep it closed bolt? cutting the back block and modding it? then i wouldnt need to mill the hammer right? what are some mods could do to a cocker to keep it cloed bolt, but cut the most weight possible??

Its still a closed bolt gun.... you might want to read a few more FAQs about halfblocking. You need to slot the hammer or else you are not going to be able to shoot.

but the bolt would move with the hammer, because it has the pin, therefore being an open bolt gun wouldnt it?? im just trying to think about the mechanics

also, an mq valve is electro correct? what are come good internals, and for a three way, a hollowpoint, micro rock, bomb, quickswitch etc... and other front block components. plus will i need a ram if the bolt is tied into the hammer?

closed bolt means the bolt is in it's forward resting position before a ball is fired.

The hammer is not tied to the bolt it is what "holds" the valve open to dealer the air through the Bottom o f the bolt to propell the paintball. You want the bolt to stay closed while it is firing, hence the name, closed bolt.

Cockers are just self pumping pump guns.

The only time the bolt works with the "pin" cocking rod is to recock, or pull the sear lug over the sear to hold the valve open.

This should clear things up some.

Anyone for any ideas on where to pick up a 9/16-24 tap?

I have a hinge frame on my cocker and when I converted it back to mech I had to buy a timing rod and when I put it on the gun and tightened it I can't even pull the trigger but then when I loosen it enough to be able to pull the trigger it doesn't activate the three way

Is this a question?
If so, please make a new thread so it can be addressed properly.
