New Tool-less Low Pressure Bolt Guides!

Im thinking of making new bolt guides and I want to hear your input. Im going to make multiple designs for the tool-less back section and this is just the first styling. Im going to also draw a 2, 6, and 8 winged variant.

The guide will be similar to my low pressure bolt guide mod in that it will use 2 3/8-24 set screws, one to plug the inner pressure chamber and one that's hollow that is flush with the back of the guide. this will allow you to also use an allen wrench key to remove the bolt guide. the stainless steel setscrew will be much harder to strip out compared to aluminum.

so to summarize benifits

added volume for low pressure operation

optimal oring grooves for compatibility with all bolts

low profile tool-less removable back section

stainless set screw for a hard-to-strip allen key removal

custom nylon bolt bumper

please note that the threading on the outside and inside is not present on the renderings.

Soooo, how long before you just start producing a total bolt assembly kit

Lurker bolt + clear can + new guide + maybe a sleeve in the works?

Otherwise, looking forward to its release.

Really like the 3 wing variant in the render think you should stick with that as it looks like the stock NXT guide and I like that.

Sign me up and when can you take my money!

I would but I don't have any more tool holders for live tooling and no tool currently in the machine could make that cut. The bolt guide is turned all in 1 setup and I want to keep it that way if possible.

Looks good.
Would it be possible to mill an ARB on it also? Just an idea.

Please PM me if you could LP mod a bolt guide or 2.

I would need a group buy in like the bb milling ydna offers to make the setup worth while, probably around 15-20 guides. That's partially what led me to just creating my own guide from scratch.

I thought about adding an arb but it would limit the guide to only be usable with open face bolts. I could offer it as a variant but it couldn't be made without changing out tooling and some moderate program changes. I would need to see a good amount of interest to make it happen so I'm not saying it won't happen.

Please keep any suggestions, comments, or concerns comming

If anyone is desperate to get an ARB just make your own and JBweld it to the tip, like this. Maybe put a set screw through the tip with some loctite to make sure it doesn't come off.

As for the guide, I like where it's headed though I'm partial to a tapered back cap rather than flat or concave.

Next I need a bolt sleeve that threads into the front can section of a free flow kit. So I can have a single piece engine. Please.

I would buy one of these guides in a heartbeat.

Scratched my Pooty guide when it got stuck one day and wished it had a spot for an allen key.

It would be a lot cheaper to produce if you designed it as two pieces instead of one

You know I want an ARB tip. And my idea on that is actually very simple. Make the guides exactly as you are and just add a threaded hole down through the tip then make an ARB as separate piece that threads into the tip. When you ship them out include both the ARB tip and a set screw. This way those of running open face bolts can use an ARB and those of us using other bolts can use the set screw to plug the tip.
A quick drop of blue loctite to hold the ARB or set screw in and we're good to go.

Just an idea to think about if you do get the 15-20 of us interested which you can count me in on.
