Football, do has multiple formats (Arena), but that only came after the success of one format (NFL).

The format arguement is a joke. You still have 5man you still have 3 man. So playing xball instead is no difference.

Again the NPPL is just facing bankruptcy liquidation. There is a very good possibility it will be sold and still be around next year.

basketball, volleyball, soccer all have multiple formats as well. i played in quite a few 3v3 tourneys growing up. volleyball has numerous formats on tv. soccer has many different formats as well, including indoor. they are the same game, just slightly different.

lets consolidate the format take the good from both, 7-man xball, semi, no coaching

nice point, but all those other variations of those sports were created after there was only one way to play it. In no way am I saying we can't create two different formats, In my opinion I think it would be cool to see one really organized league.

Those sports are a lot bigger and widely known as such, therefore they can spread the wealth to be able to have and benefit from various formats.

Look at the history of Baseball. NL and AL were once separate. Once they joined, look what happened. This might not be as bad as it looks. This could turn out to be a great thing for us.

That's true. Imagine if the PSP and NPPL remerged and held the 7 man event one weekend and the X-ball the next weekend at the same venue.

They could save money on setup and venues, teams that play both leagues could save money on travel, sponsors/vendors could save money. All of this means that prices for teams could theoretically go down and there could be better venues to play at.
