Here's an incredibly swag photo coming off field. I4s seem to cover my face enough and I'm 6'1 and 200 pounds. Never been teased about having a tiny head either. Most people that say the i4 doesn't cover where trying them on their forehead. I4s sit very low on the forehead when worn properly making head wraps alot more useful.
I tried on eflex's and was blown away .... At how bad the forward vision was blocked by the nose and thermal lenses. I really wanted to buy a set that day but couldn't get over how bad it was. Everything else was great. I just prefer to see out of my masks.
A truly great mask is the grillz. Good field of view. Fits and breathes like a flex. Quick change lenses.

The E-flex fits great and it helps to be able to use any Event lens with it. The foam on them is great and extremely comfortable. Also it breathes really well. However, I prefer the i4 because it's smaller and sleeker. I have a smaller head so it fits my face well. I also think i4's just look better to wear. Overall it's your choice! Hope you find a good mask.

Try them both on and decide. I4 is a smaller mask, Eflex is bigger.

I4's
- field of view is unmatched
- clarity of the lenses is amazing
- fit is amazing, and i am 6'4 and i dont have a small head
but there are positives of every mask, i think the i4's are the best overall though.

I have the eflex its super easy to breath out of and there is no echo when you talk but there is a little much foam and the thermal lens has the black line that you can see when you wear it.

Depends on head size/shape, best to try them on.
Eflex - Proflex - Grillz - i3 all better to me than i4.

Out of the OP's two choices, I'd get i4's. I own a pair.
However, my mask of choice is Sly Profits. Comfy!

Take a shot to the ear wearing an E-Flex and you'll see why I switched from my E-flex to my I4.
I have a flex, e-vents, and I4. I wear them all over time but the construction of the I4 is by far my favorite. The lens is the easiest to pull out and clean and put back in on the I4 also.
Try them all on, some people don't like the fit of the I4.
I'd never buy a helmet without trying it on first, same with a baseball glove... you should feel the same way about the mask protecting your face....

Why did you switch when you got shot in the ear?
I love my Eflex comfort wise. It also is much easier to communicate wearing an Eflex vs an I4 that fits so tight to your face. Not to mention the atrocious look of an i4.

I am a smaller guy and find the I4s more comfortable than the E-Vents.
Personally, I prefer Sly Profits over both.

Both are great. E-Flexes are easier to breathe in and provide more profile protection. The i4s are too small for my face. The rubber at the bottom of the E-Flexes and Proflexes are more for breathe-ability than protection. It will hurt if you get hit in the rubber. I personally own the E-Flexes and I love them. Most comfortable mask I have ever worn. Really it just comes down to what fits you. Do not buy one until you try both. The guys that like the i4s are the ones that it actually fits. You might not be one of them. They are small.
