Got a quote on a refi for my house. I haven't even been here a year, but with the way rates are now I just might have to. It will lower my mortgage $160/mo but I need to bring $3k+ to closing. I do get my escrow back which will just about cover closing though. ugh

Boss (the Super) at work got his truck stolen today. Went to the local BP gas station for cigarettes and parked in the front spot. Turned the car off and dropped his keys because that's what he does out at the site (which is extremely stupid). He is about to pay and hears his truck fire up, which is loud since he has not cats. Chased it out of the parking lot but he sped off. It was an 07 F150 that was pretty beat up. You know, like a work truck would be. Bad news is that he had about $3k worth of tools in it. And bank documents.

I'd **** myself if I heard my car start up and I wasn't in it. Must have sucked. Police just gave him a slip of paper and said "Call every few hours to see if we found it".

Yeah, I would too. He still had 2 payments on it (and it had over 200k on it). He will really luck out if he can get his tools covered. Either by homeowners or under his car policy.
