Break in point for etek?

What is the break in point for a etek. I heard it was about 10 cases of paint. I am thinking of buying a new reg becasue mine is doing +/-10 to 15. I'm thinking of buying the hybrid sparta or empire regulator. But I don't want to go spend $$ if my reg isn't even broken in yet. Also which reg would you recommend? Thanks

i wouldent buy a new reg. the etek's reg is one of the better regs. you might want to try to clean both regs and lower you lpr a turn or so. i turned mine in a full turn and im getting +/- 3

It's probably not your reg. Check paint to barrel match. That's the more likely reason you're getting such a big difference in consistency.

I can swear that's for accuracy.

But yes, clean your regs. Tinker around with the regs to get the best consistency.

Try oiling your HPR adjuster screw, I was having some consistency problems and I lubed this and all of a sudden I was doing much better.

consistency and accuracy go hand in hand. with a consistent velocity you are going to get ball on top of ball(for the most part if you have a good paint to barrel match), and with a consistent pressure you will get consistent velocity(for the most part).

Ok thanks I bought whitebox paint (didn't bring enough cash) and I forgot to test the paint to bore size. Also I haven't cleaned my reg in a while keep forgetting. Should probubly do that.
