Your website describes your Glasgow field as being around 400 acres, is that a typo? I don't even think there's that much undeveloped land that close to Glasgow.

I believe the property in which the field is in (and technically possible playing area) is 400 acres. The entire 400 acres is not developed...yet. The field is basically on a mountain on the Glasgow city limits.

And yes, there is a bunch of undeveloped land in the area. Hopefully the people that own it plan to keep it that way.

Yes there is appoximatly 400 acres of land that we can use. But as stated we don't use all of that b/c people complain about the size of the field as is. We've decided instead to focus on developing about 30-40 aches. Simply spreading the fields out to cover more land, didn't seem to make good sense. We have one continuous field with plenty of bunkers. It seems like most people prefer that over large open area's.

The road to the top of the mountain is about 2 miles long from the base of Wert Faulkner Hwy. During a game you are allowed to go as far up that mountain as you desire. For most people that's not more then about 250 yards.

Not trying to sound rude, but we know of at least one other field that claims to have 92 acres and be the largest blah, blah, blah. That field owns 92 acres, they don't play on 92 acres. They have a great feild, but it's not 92 acres, it's more like 30 and a lot of that is nothingness of tree's and branches.

Any case we're not trying to mislead anyone on the actual size of the field. The main point is you don't have to worry about a tap line. Our field has over 1,000 good sized bunkers along with 6 tower forts. There are about 115 youtube video's most of the Glasgow field.

Probably having an open day this Sunday. A group is looking to come out and they're willing to play with others.

Starting in July we're going to go to summer hours were we start play around 3pm and go to around 8pm. Thinking about doing some sort of cook out afterwards.

We are open during Saturdays, however we are only going to play in the afternoon from 3pm-8pm. We hope that this will get more people out since it avoids the worst of the heat. We will open earlier if we have at least 5-6 people that want to play.

Unfortunatly our sundays are being booked up by private groups, so our Sunday play is limited.

MISSION 1- Center Football

A twist on center flag, we’ll use a football instead of a flag. Max time limit is 10 minutes. Game will be in Bakaara Market.

Points
1 Points for being the first team to gain possession of the football
3 Points for taking the football to the other teams start point or end zone.


MISSION 2 & 3 Spread Offense
Both teams will run this mission.

The attacking team has the football and must take it to 5 different locations. Each location reached the attacking team scores 7 points and get an extra 5 minutes added to the 30 minute time limit. If the defending team captures the football and takes it to a flag station that the attacking team has not captured the game ends and the remaining flag stations are awarded to the defenders.

Attackers
4 points for each objective reached

Defenders
3 Points for every objective held
10 Point for capturing the football and taking it to a flag station

MISSION 4-Lane Stadium

Lane Stadium is under attack by the Cavaliers. VT must defend the Death Star for 45 minutes. UVA will get respawns at the 15, 25, & 35 minute mark from the Castle. Defenders will only get one life. UVA has to captures the football inside the Death Star. The football can be anywhere on the bottom (ground level). The football must be placed by a ref at the beginning of the game in an easily viewable area. The football cannot be covered.

Points for VT
7 Points at the 20, 30, 40, 45 minute marks (max score would be 28 points)

Points for UVA
14 Points for capturing the football.
17 Bonus points if the football is capture in less the 25 mintes
7 Bonus points if the football is capture in less then 35 minutes

MISSION 5-Red Zone

UVA is trying to punch in a last second score in the Satellite field. VT will be allotted several scouts who can start in set positions. Number of scouts will be approximately 1 for every 5 UVA players. The remainder of VT’s players will start on a 2 minute delay. There will be three flags at the Village, Maze, and Satellite fields. UVA will have a player carrying a football. Only the player carrying the football will be allowed to pull a flag. Once a flag is pulled points will be scored toward the attacking team even if the .

UVA ended up winning, but it was close. We played until most of the people had went home.

Oct 16th, but it's not a typical scenario, b/c it's actually going to cover 3 miles of territory. If your not wanting a marathon you might want come on an open day play (any Saturday).
