Tape or white out instead of nail polish.

Someone recommended a drop or two of white out and it's stuck with me since. I've also had luck with electrical tape as well.

Edit: White Out works the same way as nail polish, but is removable if you decide to take off the barrel simply by chipping it off.

Tape on most removable barrels, especially cocker barrels. Nail polish on anything non-removable or where the tape doesn't fit into the gap between body and barrel.

Some barrels arent threaded. They are either part of the body or are held in with a set screw that requires a tool to remove.

Unibody Phantoms and SL-68s come to mind.

I'll use tape if I have it. This way, it's possible to "size" the tape each time for the specific ball. I have used the nail polish method for barrels dedicated to certain guns (like my old J&J SL-68 barrel).

To expand on what Castro said. What makes tape super awesome is you can remove AND add as your paint size changes. +1 didnt think of that in my original post

I prefer nail polish because I don't have to worry about it shooting out of the barrel when I'm playing, or falling out if I need to remove the barrel to squeegee or whatever.

Autocockers actually use the barrel as the place holder for the ball before being fired.

If you use them on a sniper, chances are the bolt won't fully seal into the breech.

That's a special Azodin-only barrel, and it's actually just a regular oring. If I remember correctly, I think they're slightly too far forward for a sniper's bolt, so swapping it over could lead to FPS loss.

Nope.
As far as I know, that sort of ring is unique to the Kaos, and I've heard mixed reports of its effectiveness.

It's not great.

...but it works. More than once I considered making one to fit a sniper just to see how it would perform.

I like the fact that if I want to sell my barrel , I can just remove the tape.

So tape gets my vote.
