Here are a couple pictures of mine:
Longer trigger, and modified tank mount wedge to get the tank higher. I will be making a new wedge that has more angle to it
eventually, I just did this today to see how I like it. The SP-1 feels more balanced with the tank like this IMO. BTW this is my
first marker and I've had it less than a week.

This is me with my dual SP1 rig at OTP's "Mercenaries Unleashed" game.
Two stock SP1's linked with custom aluminum brackets that I machined on the mill at work out of a nice piece of barstock that some nitwit had drilled completely wrong for a spring-guide so the plant's loss was my gain. The front bracket requires removal of the front bottom rails as it uses their bolt-holes to attach. The rear bracket bolts in place of the asa's. In these pics I have the regs linked into a tee using the stock airlines and used a single remote line from 2 linked 88ci/4500psi tanks. I was encountering some shootdown with this though, so from this point on each reg will get its own QD nipple and I'll run a remote for each tank individually. The cranks are Firestorm cranks for an A5 but work just fine, in fact, I had them on an A5 Double Trouble too and IMO they work better on a microswitch trigger than a mechanical one. I used a piece of steel rod, drilled and tapped for set screws, to link and tune the cranks to fire offset, meaning its never firing two balls at the same time. Barrels are 14" J&J, hoppers are Kingman Fastas for a total on-gun ammo supply of 460 balls.
Coming next? Dual Blackheart boards (more for tuning efficiency for more shots per tank than ROF, probably only going to bump the ROF up to 13 or so bps per gun for 26bps total), dual DeadlyWind HollowPoint bolts, Lapco Apex-ready barrels and Apex tips, and twin Pinnokio hoppers for 800 rounds on the gun. That'll give me a little more than 30 seconds of sustained fire at 26 bps.
Now I'm just gonna have to find a way to carry more freaking paint!

Just an update to mine.
Here it is again sans side tac rails, and with a shorter hopper neck. I know it's only 1 cm shorter, but it looks better with the body of the hopper against the SP-1 feed neck.

Hi 6_shooter!
I ask you tell me it the size of allen-key (in my country metric-system rules, inch sized key very rare) and that on the rail taken off useful was left over?
(Sorry for my bad english...)

That is an Ion with an SP-1 body grafted onto it. It's not an SP-1 at all...

How is that possible ? I mean judging by this pic of the SP-1 body, how would one plumb an Ion into the SP-1 body ? Look at the underside of the SP-1
, how are you going to attach the breech/firing can to the lower reciever of the Ion without milling out the SP=1 body itself ? Personally, I would
like to see it fire to see if it actually worked. I have considered doing this myself, but the plumbing issue is where I'm stuck at.

The Ion's firing can has the banjos and the bolt holes for the grip frame in the exact same places as the SP1's are. I'm sure it probably took a little trimming, but its probably not all too hard to get it to work. The thing is, you're not using the SP1 reg, or the board, etc. On the ion, all of that was contained in the frame and not on the body.

I realize I wont be using the reg or the board as the mount in different ways, but my main issue was the plumbing i.e. the banjo's/QEV I am currently using. Also, I wanted to retain my Ion firing can due to the eyes and if you look at the body, it looks like it has a space between where the firing can and trigger frame mount up and wondered if I would need to use some type of extension for the QEV to mount in its normal place or would I have to remove/modify the body for it to work properly ? The Blackheart mounts the QEV to the board, so I was concerned there maybe a mounting issue. I have a custom frmae for my Ion and prefer the 15* reg to the standard reg as well as the Virtue board and eyes. Out of all the tactical bodies out there, I like the boxy look of the SP-1 the best.
