With only 3 majors teams returning to the majors division, what is holding back seasoned minors teams from making the bump up?

I agree, Shipyard and Sin were super strong last year. Thought they would be making the bump to majors...

Yeah, that's a little different from what I was saying. I can definitely see people switch leagues, etc. But I figured if you win Minors (especially by a good margin) you would - or would be forced to - move up.

I think you are, if you stay in the league. Rush won Minors in 2011 and moved up to Majors in 2012. NEU won Minors in 2012, but left the league. |

Yeah - I get that. It's a lot of money to play to come away with nothing. I just feel like once you prove yourself at one level you want to keep stepping it up. But, everyone wants something different out of the sport.

Word on the street is OI will not be playing Majors, and will focus on PSP Events only.

No one is "forced' to move up. The only thing that will force a team up is their overall ranking within the APPA system.
As for OI - they have currently elected to focus on the PSP events and will not be participating in this years foXball. However, they may end up on the reffing side of things.
The others (NEAA, Rush and Section 8) have elected to participate in the NEXL and not foXball. As for the reasons - you'd have to ask them.

Honestly, I think one of the big reasons teams don't bump is there inability to stay together year yo year. Its hard to be confidant in your ability to compete at a higher level if you have to many new faces. This is Rod Squads 2nd year playing Foxball. I have 5 of the 10 guys from last season returning. When you bring in 5 new guys, there is a certain degree of uncertainty. If I could get 8 guys to stick year to year I would be happy. That would also make it easier to bump to the higher division.

I think there needs to be a for of relegation due to there is no appa for the league so realistically a team can just play foxball and there players will never go up in rank...
