Yes, the first thing i did was change battery, sorry.

if it isnt the board(and eyes) then it must be one of the harnesses....where would i order those?

gisgo, this is my first shocker, you said to check the upper board for damage, where do i look for that one? (sorry for the nubby question)

However, make sure that that the piston head o-ring hasn't swollen. Make sure that the piston moves freely. Could be too much or too little grease, causing the piston to drag or stick.

Could be that the fact you have serviced the reg is a red herring, and the problem lies elsewhere. Could be that you are screwing your tank in too far, and the degassing pin is blocking the tank reg's outlet. Alternatively, you may not be screwing the tank in far enough, and the pin isn't being pushed open enough. The stock Shocker ASA is fairly restrictive to flow as it is.
Ok I know it's neither of these because the reg works on my buddy's shocker and his reg still didn't change my problem. I Shouldve added that in there. Also my tank and Asa are not the problem.what I've tried to do already to fix the problem is replace the both inner orings in the firing can, replace back three orings and the inner oring on my bolt sleeve, the oring on the middle of the bolt, the oring oring on the end of the bolt guide, and the oring on the right solenoid insert. I check both butterfly gaskets in the noid also. I did all of this because it sounded like it was a pneumatic lockout problem according to the description on ZDSPB

yup, it is circuit damage from having hybrid grips and screwing them in too far
><

there are two gashes on the noid board, one on each side from grip screws.

How do i know if i should orde a humphrey or parker board? also, would it probably be cheaper/easier to have someone fix it from here?(dont know anyone locally)

Yes, the Nerve board can be adjusted as low as 11.2bps, so it's possible to achieve 12.5bps. You may have to run your dwell longer than strictly necessary to get down there, but it can be done.

Are you using the normal 0-500psi output CP reg, or the LP only 0-300psi version? Are you using an HP or LP output reg?

If you struggle to find the right upper board - availability of the two seems to go in phases for some reason - either type of board can be made compatible with the other solenoid with some soldering. A Humphrey board becomes compatible with the Parker solenoid after de-soldering the Humphrey board's connection prongs. Likewise, removing the old prongs from your damaged Humphrey board, and soldering them on to a new Parker board, will allow the Parker board to be used with a Humphrey solenoid.

Unfortunately, with the Parker solenoid, the board is soldered on to the solenoid contacts, so you need to de-solder and remove the old board, and then solder on the new board.

I'm using the normal cp reg. I've had this reg for a while and it's worked flawlessly before. Like I said, I'm sure it's not my reg because my reg will work on my buddy's shocker

Only reason that I ask is that the 0-500psi CP reg can struggle to regulate consistently below 200psi when used with an HP output reg. Although it is described as having an output pressure range of 0-500psi, the 0-200psi range requires the use of an LP output tank for best performance.

So what youre saying is boost the pressure up so it can be more consistent?

Well, one approach would be to run a higher pressure - 200psi+ - to be in the reg's optimal pressure range, but then you might not be at the marker's optimal operating pressure. The other option of course is to swap to an LP output tank reg. Some HP output tank regs can be converted to LP output.

It may have nothing to do with your issue at all - just covering all aspects of the CP reg, as you did say that the issue started after you serviced the reg, but that could be entirely coincidental.

I think it's coincidental just by the fact that other regs will not fix the problem.

OK so i have a Shocktech NXT with Virtue board and NDZ v3 sprung bolt. My problem is that it will not fully cycle.

Battery is new, no leaks, dwell is 12, pressure is 180. Have tested with another board and another HPR with no difference. Also have tested with techt sprung bolt.

Ideas?

EDIT: Also lubed and checked orings visually.

I did some more trouble shooting. Now all orings have been changed except the large on the outside of the bolt assembly as I dont have them. I have also cleaned and lubed the solenoid and that helped a tiny bit.

If I up the dwell to 20 I'm able to shoot 290ish with 180ish psi. Still with 12 dwell not a chance of having it cycle.

Any help?

Up your reg pressure to 200 and see what happens, try bumping the dwell to 14-16ms.

I'm having a hard time identifying this bolt. Things to note as seen in the pics:
  • Open face
  • Oval style porting (like the NDZ Stinger bolt)
  • Square bumper

Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
