Can someone explain the divisional 5man race to format to me?
Can someone explain it? I'm still kidna confused how it works.. like scheduling... breaks between games? etc etc. I'm sure there's a thread explaining this somewhere but i couldn't find it, sorry.
I think it is just that they have never had 5man race to style before. There are probably a lot of sections to the rulebook that need to be written and they thought it would have been easier. I know they are working on it though and I would expect it to be out soon. It is based on the Millenium rules with some changes.
have you looked at the rule book they have to be very precise.......

I don't care about the "rules rules". I just wanna know if we can have subs/ more players rostered and ****. And how the games fold out. Is it like team A/B play then team C/D play and those four teams go back and forth till one team
Reaches 4 points or what. What happens of you win 4 straight and the other teams go to game 7. Who plays in between those or will it be like Xball with a ...2? Minute break. Etc etc.
Unless things change drastically, it will be two teams play til somebody gets to 4. There will be about 2 mins between games. Rosters can have at least 8 players probably more. There will be air in the pits. 1 time out per team. The other details will come out soon.
has anyone confirmed 4 matches in prelims? 2 minutes in between points?
We have already paid hoping for a quality event; it is kind of hard to blindly play for something you are not sure you are getting.
I've played xball, I know how it works. I just want to have a CONFIRMED set of rules cuz I'm about to pay for the event but I don't wanna sign up for a format with broken rules.
I'm pretty sure they game rules will match the Millennium series, but that they will be more lax on the roster stuff. Im pretty sure it will be 1 2-minute time out per team.
in-between your game there is another game. team A plays B. then team C plays D. then team A plays B again and so on. It is something like you wait for the next team to set up, then play then get off the field, It takes at least over a minuet and if it is too quick (less than 2 min) they can be lenient and wait the extra minuet or so for you to get on the field.
the objective is fast turnovers and flexible scheduling.
well they said millenium rules and that is how they do the best of/race to series. team a plays b then c plays d then start over. It works well for fitting alot of games in since you can almost always expect the next team to be ready. nppl usually uses only two fields. with the new format they need an extra day and to push the millenium format as fast as they can for it to work.
it is speculation but, if anything, it would be run faster in some way, they are already pressed for time
There will be 2 fields set up for the race-to format, that was already announced. 1 will be full-time and the other may very depending on the number of teams. There will be at least 3 fields at HB, unless things get changed.
