Dm9 not firing all the time

Im trying to fix my buddies dm9 and came across something i havent seen before. It has new battery I put in and freshly lubed etc. it will cylce 12.5 for a random amount of shots and then not cycle. When it does this the micro switch is still getting trigger its just not cycling. For example: shoot like 10-15 ball skip 5-15 then shoot 5-20 balls again. Help me pleaseeee thanks

I do not believe so... Nothing is making noise other than the micro switch

First thing I'd check is the eyes/eye pipe.

it could be a bad board, or a noid.

i'd advice a tech to look at it, like myself and find out which part it is

only thing it can be is the noid or the board or eyes

cause the noid isn't clicking

so like the first 20 shots shoot fine then it just stops? does the board turn off?

try this

unplug your eyes from the board

see if it shoots more then 20 balls and cycle

did it recently get wet? or play in the rain

Not the first shots all the time but its almost like it can only shoot 30 times in 5 seconds and those 30 shots could be spaced in random intervals

Does it do this with the eyes off, or just with the eyes on?

If you are sure the solenoid is not activating, it could be a problem with the microswitch, solenoid coil, battery, board itself or a loose connection somewhere.

If you've got a multimeter, you can check all of those things. If not, check that the solenoid harness is plugged in securely and try another fresh battery.

Well if you unpluged your eyes and it worked fine, even with balls etc, then it's either your eyes have a short in them and or they're ripped somewhere or your connection your your board for your eyes are bad

Yup...........probaboy a bad eye connection.

The only other possibility is the battery. You may have enough current in the battery to cycle the noid so many times then it dies until you build up a charge again. Then it will shoot.....and die again. This is common with low grade batteries, or batteries right on the verge of being dead or duds. A voltage tester won't indicate a current supply issue.

Try a good brand name battery........from a different package before you go ripping things apart. If you still have the problem then it's time to check the eye wires and connections as suggested.
