I have 1 D4 and 2 D5 5 man lines that would be interested if they will be APPA affiliated and prizes are good

Why would APPA affiliation be a requirement for you? I'd be playing as many non-APPA tournaments as possible to avoid the ranking penalty. It's not CoD. "Ranking Up" is a bad thing - it limits the amount of tournaments you're able to play and forces you to pay more money to travel and compete in bigger tournaments if you want to play.

That's an interesting perspective on it...I am not one to knock local field tournaments, they are fun, usually have decent prizes and teams but eventually you need to move pass the same field and same teams. PSP leagues may have a higher entry but typically will have better competition and better prizes and I am working towards getting better as a player/team with the intent of moving to the next division. I have a hard time as seeing ranking up as a punishment or a bad thing. Serious teams are going to pay serious cash for serious events. PSP versus the local tournament field is like sex versus masterbation....yeah I get off which is the same end state, but sex is a whole lot more fun and a lot more rewarding and builds to something (either more sex or a relationship which leads to more sex) sure it may cost me some by paying for dates and what not, or registration fees and travel, but it's a whole lot better and makes me a lot better than just jerking my own pug

No toes would be being stepped on it would just be a friendly tournament for beginner/intermediate players that are looking into playing tournament paintball... Just trying to help the sport grow thats all
