last year there was 1 downside to the whole beach and sand thing if u wanted to watch u had to walk through whole bunch of sand and if u wear shoes u are screwed so any 1 that is going wear sandals

I can't believe that in 03 they used sand on the fields...doesn't everyone hate sand? I woud think the NPPL would know better...

The sand slowed the game way down. A lot less movement than we we expected (for most teams anyway) The turf was a huge improvement. I agree, keeps getting better.

The sand was cool IMO. I think it's cool to have varied playing surfaces. Besides, it was cool watching people play barefoot.

the sand the first year was good and bad, it was fun to watch frontmen get blasted tryin to make the fifties and it was sort of like, "dude, this tournament is actually on the beach!!!" on the downside, it jacked up everyone's guns.
