Empire Z2 or Dye Rotor?

I've been thinking about getting a new loader but don't know if I should stick with what I got or get something new. Right now I have a Rotor and I love it. There's not really a issues with it just thinking its time for something new that's all. My friend wants a Rotor and I told him I would sell him mine because I was thinking of getting the Z2. Well I guess my question is....is it worth it? Is the rotor just fine or is the Z2 a little better because its in the same family of empire? What do you guys think? Which one do you prefer? Performance wise which is better? I've only own the eggy 2 and the rotor so I have no idea about the Z2. Thanks for the help!

i currently use a Prophecy 1 and i love it! have a Z2 on the way. my coach uses a Z2 and has been for about a year and a half and has never had a single jam shot over 100k balls through it. i prefer the empire family because they are sound activated or continuous and you can tweak it to however you want it. Personally i think Z2 over rotor all day. the sound activation is super nice and the z2 has a super sleek design

Yeah, I don't know why you'd ditch the rotor.

If you have a rotor and it works for you and you don't have any jams, keep it. If you want something different and you'd like to stay in the Empire family, you won't be disappointed with the Z2. I love my Z2.

Personally I've had to sell my Rotor for a Z2. My Rotor V3 jammed on me way too many times. 3 times during tournament in semi-finals. I've made the switch to Z2 and I love it. Not saying rotor is no good. It's a great loader. But I can't handle the jam issues.

I honestly have no clue why MINE jammed so much. Other teammates who use Rotor say theirs is fine. The only thing I truly miss about the rotor is how much easier it is to disassemble and clean.

You should also look into the spire. I still haven't become a fan of it yet, but it is a viable option as it easily competes against the rotor and z2. I just hate those Virtue crown speed feeds. Never been a fan. HK Army speed feed on Z2 is the best speed feed in my opinion out of many other speed feeds I have used.

With a little bit of messing with it. Doesn't matter much anyway, give it about a month, tops, and everyone else will have speedfeeds out for it.

I have seen a kid take a shot to his Z2 (w/ a speed feed), ball went into the loader, broke paint obviously and fried the board. I have seen Rotors take lots of abuse and keep working. Plus the Rotor has been out since 2008/2009 and has more options then the Z2. I imagine this will change in the coming months with World Cup on the Horizon, I would wait until Cup and see what everyone has to offer before settling on the Z2 right now.

I have a Z2 and like the way it operates, but I will say the Rotor's simplicity is definitely a good feature. The new Spire seems like the best of both worlds.

following the herd FTW!!!! The rotor is one of the absolute 3 best loaders that exist. All have their own strengths and weaknesses. If one were a clear winner, that is all anyone would use. Read reviews, try them and make a decision for yourself.

I have both and haven't got to play with my Z2 yet but the Rotor loves to jam if you don't keep fresh batteries and use great paint. Curious to see what the Z2 does

OLD FEEDBACK!

Why do people do this wanna-be hk thing? I mean hk people dont even play paintball, they just whine and start drama while wearing the ugliest stuff. Seriously you find light blue and pink to be attractive colors for your parents 1500 dollar investment (your gun/marker)? If you want to whine keep it off the field and save it for the internet; O wait! THATS EXACTLY WHAT YOU DO! Haha, if you don't play then don't whine.

Sell me your G6R (and Halo) upgrades/parts, because you wont get anything for them if you sell/trade them with the gun.

I've had both.

I've always been an empire fan so I may be a little biased....but I'm always open to new things.

In my experience, the rotor is very durable but did get finiky with jamming. It didn't happy very often but when it did, the de-jamming fin (or whatever its called) easily unjammed it.

With the z2, I've never had any problems! The only gripe I had about it was that it continues to run when you're almost out of paint. Its a good reminder but not good when you're about to bunker someone...I liked the way the original prophecy was pure sound but the way they designed the z2 was flawless.

In my opinion, you get what you pay for in the z2. They have incorporated a lot of tech into it. With the rotor, your paying some royalty since it is dye...
