Dye won't sue Smart Parts...they have a very symbiotic relationship.

Dye owns the patent to spool-valve markers (i.e the dm5, dm4, proto and shocker and ion)

Smart Parts owns the patent to the electric switch (used in virtually every paintball marker)

These people who want to sue Smart Parts are very ignorant, and, using their logic (or lack thereof), are just "as bad" as Smart Parts is.

Now I love Dye more than any other paintball company, but be a little realistic...Smart Parts and Dye have a good thing going and are both prospering from one-another, and neither are stupid enough to ruin that.

I thought of the same thing, Dye and Smart Parts do have a symbiotic relationship, I'm glad someone is on the same page as me.

As I said; Dye filed a lawsuit against Smart Parts for patent infringement and for selling paintball markers embodying claims in Dye's patent. This was filed in Federal Court in San Diego today.
