Here is a pic of me (I'm the one no jersey) and the Splatterhouse guys on the last day of operation at Splatterhouse Wasilla. Man I miss the place. It was a great place to play and the only place during the winter. Yeah it was small and every game seemed very fast and violent but damn it I miss it.

They shut down because of a fire sprinkler issue.I guess they needed a sprinkler system for the haunted house the ran during october and the costs involved wasn't worth it.

I'm pretty bummed that I never got a chance to play at Splatterhouse - mostly because I live in Anchorage and just go local with 907. Still, would have liked to have played the indoor. We need another indoor in AK..

You panzies. There's only like a foot of snow out there! I've played when we had to shovel our own trails and bunkers first!





And keep in mind, that first one is an Automag on CO2, in the winter(!)

Yeah, I know that makes me sound like an "uphill both ways!" old man, but back then we could only dream of an indoor place. Hell, I've been trying to get the local field owners together for a game or two, just to scratch that itch- down here there's hardly 6" of snow, they own the property and the bunkers are still up.

But no- apparently if it's not at least 55F and sunny, they don't want to play.

The owners weren't very friendly there, they had the habit of banning people they didn't like. I much prefer to play out in the snow, running and diving in a pile a snow is so much more fun than squinting to see in a barely lit quonset hut.
