Tell me what you thought of Heroes

I don't know how many times I've watched the movie... but it's alot. Stupid Rich Telford came out of the DVD one more time and poked me in the eye.

So much for my tough guy image.

Review the film here.

Instead of showing the games fast paced, intense gameplay like every other video on the planet. They finally captured the true emotional intensity of playing paintball at the pro level. They showed how the normal life, and the paintball life gradually grow into one or the other containing stress, hard work, and a test of your emotional stamina. It was phenominal.

definatley another fine job by MWAG. Ive been in paintball for a long time now and paintball videos don't do much for me these days. I miss 720 and traumahead videos with play by play and stuff. derder was cool the first couple of movies but its boring now, I can only watch people get bunkered so many times.....

MWAG has made some really great paintball MOVIES- not just highlight clips or game footage. Their like real movies you can feel apart of what their going through. I know some of the XSV guys, I was with them in SD 04 when nicky broke down and threw his stuff around... Its nice to see the heart of it, mosy people thing "oh, their pros, they lost big deal, not their money" this shows otherwise...

It was a long time comming and well worth the wait. Can't wait for the next Mwag film

Its definitely a Film, not a video. And it's amazing. I was extremely impressed, and the the films message gets across. Suffer, Sacrifice, Succeed...

I am so happy that we went to the premier at Lido Theater in Newport- that was awesome. Watching it on the silver screen was the best way to see this film...

Pat, how are you gonna top this one?

I don't think anyone can thank Pat enough for all his hard work he put into this film. It is simply amazing. I was able to go to the premiere and seeing it on the big screen was worth it. I also purchased the DVD in HB but actually going to a paintball movie premiere and watching in the theater with the surround sound felt like I was there. Pat don't ever stop making paintball films!

I thought it did and incredible job of capturing the raw emotions. I thought it was incredible how much footage behind the scenes that Patrick got, i thought it was cool that they considered him part of the team. I also liked that it showed the losing you apartment/everything part of paint ball....

The whole normal life sucks part, showed kids these are regular people who did extraordinary things...

Being an audio guy and all, the one thing that took me out of the moment was the Crowd BG's in the finals open and close. I know I am nitpicking but it is like watching bad ADR in a movie. It takes you out of the moment.

I did like the wireless on Rich during some of the game moments, good to see. I also saw that there were a lot of L cuts in the movie. It worked in some places and not so much in others.

The one shot that did impress the hell out of me was the terminal sign flipping to show the title of the movie. Now THAT was coool. Added a nice touch to the movie.

I didn't understand the opening sequence but thought it was cool nonetheless. I must be missing the whole airlines theme thing too. It was in the opening and also a theme at the booth at HB.

Oh and hey Don did you guys get into a little bit-budgeting at the end? Looks like the movie almost went into overtime on the DVD-5 spec (2hr and something).

Now if I haven't lost everyone by this point I would be surprised.
