The 1058 Marine-Einsatzkommandos – German Army
Oklahoma D-Day 2013
June 10th thru 15th 2013
The MEK mission is FORCE INTERDICTION of Allied Forces & Rapid Response to any surprise Allied threat. You can expect to fight in every corner and nook the D-Day Field has to offer.
The commander for the 1058th is Ray "DrunkenMaster" Harlan. DrunkenMaster will be returning for his eighth DDay and fourth year leading the MEK. He cut his teeth in the infantry units of OK DDay and has played all over the South and Midwest in a variety of scenario and big game formats. He was trained to lead the MEK by its original commander, John "Poison" Goepfert, who has an extensive special operations background. Poison started, trained, and was involved in several HRTs with an outside security agency as well as being a renowned firearm instructor.
This unit will receive very specialized training during the week of D-Day in Rapid Response Team tactics. Those who wish to join will have to pass a fairly in depth training course. 1058.MEK Instructors will go through dynamic entry, fire and maneuver drills, and unit cohesion work.
Utilizing small unit attack models, the 1058.MEK training is likely to include training force on force. Instructors will teach all unit members how to "run and gun" and how to become a force multiplier. The training will focus on practical tactics to overwhelm a numerically superior force. MEK Marines will have to be tactical thinkers and do well in the force on force training as well as a little problem solving in the field.
The requirements for this unit are as follows:
15yrs of age by game week
Arrival at the event NLT 0900hrs Wed, June 12th to be able to complete the necessary points of training
