so i got a question for all of you. how did all of you guys get into paintball? just go out to some field rent equipment and play and keep doing that or go once then buy your own stuff or just play for a while and buy some stuff? what did you guys do. i wanna hear you storys

My story started out at a Galyans when I was probably about 8 or 9 years old. I was in there with my dad looking around and stumbled across a tv playing a video of people playing woodsball. It peaked my interest so I was asking my dad about it but he didn't know much about it at the time. Well any way a few years later I found an Action Pursuit Games magazine in my local walmart and bought it and started reading about paintball. A few months later I bought my first gun at that same walmart haha, it was a Brass eagle avenger. It had been my birthday the week before so I had gotten the other gear I needed to play like a crappy mask and pod pack. Don't get me wrong though at the time I thought that was the greatest stuff I could have. By my sophomore year of highschool I was really getting into it and had even got my first entry level tourney gun. It was about another year to a year and a half before I played my first tournament though. Now fast forward about 2 or 3 years from that first tournament and here I am playing with the best group of guys anyone could want to play with! So to go along with what Guy said definitely never never never give up on your dream!

Well to tell you the truth i started reffing paintball as a job at whiteriver paintball then i joined a few friends we made silly three and 5 man teams for a while. then i started going to Proving grounds paintball for alittle bit because the the play here is much better and then i got picked up by my team and played here every month since

In 6th grade I played at the Gator Pit (now Paintball Indiana) rented a 98 custom and everything and had a blast. After that I asked for a gun for christmas and my parents bought me a sick 2k3 black magic autococker package with 48ci steely, revvy, and a flex7! been hooked ever since. After that I bought a vision impulse from "Gator Joe's" when they were pretty new and never looked back..only had to quit a few times due to money.

i saw my step brother playin a few years ago and saw how much fun it was and wanted to do it but didnt have any money or any stuff. so a few years later i started to try and learn about it and try it and now here i am. i think ima try and get enough money to just come out and rent some equipment and play for a day or as long as i have paintballs. how long do you guys think 1000 will last? oh and yeah i tryed to get a job at white river but there not hiring and you gotta be 16 but oh well. they cost to much to. so i found proving grounds and said ima go there and been tryin to get money for about a month or 2 now

PSP is addressing the decline in attendance in tournament paintball, which has catered to the smaller and wealthier player. It's a great ideas to stimulate the paintball economy, maybe translate to sponsorships again, who knows.

But, there has been a lot of grumbling since the news release. Of course, mainly by the younger, more boisterous crowd. We'll see if all these changes stick.

I like the adjustments to PSP... except for not releasing the field layouts early.

how are the adjustments suppost to help finance issues? and also is that for like tournaments like teams and stuff?

Yeah it is focused on the tournament scene, mainly the national events but a lot of the local leagues are PSP feeder leagues so they usually follow suit with whatever the PSP does.
